SC Legislative Endorsements
Just as Tuesday will be a momentous day on the national political scene, there are a number of key races here in South Carolina that will also have a profound impact in dictating the direction of our state.
The outcome of these races will determine whether South Carolina continues sinking – or starts learning to swim in a rough-and-tumble, cutthroat 21st Century economy.
Simply put, will the free market forces of pro-growth, pro-taxpayer change be able to build on the positive gains that they achieved during the 2008 primary elections? Or will the corrupt, status quo armies of House Speaker Bobby Harrell and Senate Leader Hugh Leatherman succeed in temporarily stemming the rising tide of fiscal conservatism?
In case there’s any confusion as to the two sides of this battle, let’s take a look at the Harrell-Leatherman record, shall we?
First of all, South Carolina grew government at an unprecedented level over the last four years, and yet our income levels are still abysmally-low, our unemployment rate is still ridiculously-high and our public schools are still the worst in the nation.
Oh, and now that all of this reckless spending has put our budget in a king-sized hole, Harrell and Leatherman’s solution to the problem is … wait for it … more government.
If you’re a South Carolina voter who’s tired of the nonsense – and you’re ready to elect people who won’t stand for it any longer – then you’ve come to the right place.
Here are several State legislative candidates currently in competitive races who are ready to stand up against the failed policies of the past and join a growing nucleus of committed fiscal conservatives in Columbia.
Dee Compton (Senate District 10)
Mike Gardner (Senate District 11)
Jill Kelso (House District 29)
Bill McKown (Senate District 28)
Joey Millwood (House District 38)
Mick Mulvaney (Senate District 16)
Mike Rose (Senate District 38)
Danny Stacy (House District 108)
Click on any of the above links to visit these candidates’ websites, and remember that we’ll never get the change we deserve as a state until we start voting people into office who are willing to fight for it …

I could be wrong, but I think you have Kelso and Stacy switched. Stacy is District 29.

It still amazes me that you would support Joey Millwood so blindly.
He is so your Palin.
I don’t really think it matters much though…
