I wouldn't vote for Mandy if she were running for dog catcher. I went to church with her for 5 years at FBC. She came for business meetings and her husband sang Neil Diamond during the worship service. Seriously, just ask the illustrious Rev. Roy Barnes(he has sung her praises in the Lancaster News). She came to our church Fall festival in revealing costumes: Wonder Woman with fake boobs hanging out everywhere and another year as Snow White(I really don't think Snow White wore a thong Mandy). And, if you want to know her real stance on the issues, here is the email she sent a ton of us at church during the last presidential election. I'm not sure why I got it, I was never invited to her wine and cheese parties. When I replied and asked to be removed from her address book, she (Mandy, not Mitch) replied, not to worry she wouldn't try to sway me with her liberal propaganda. Our pastor at the time Rob O'Neal, defended her....the sad part it that there are folks around here voting for her just because they know her parents or go to her church... they have no idea the liberal stance she has. Palin, I think not.

Thank you for the email, but we are pro-gay and pro-women, we support the ACLU, we believe Mel Gibson's film is anti-semetic (but that's okay, it's just a movie). We don't want publically-sponsored prayer in schools, lest the Buddhists gain control of Congress. And if the Boy Scouts want to receive preferrential government treatment, then they should not discriminate. Besides, the "election guide" is terribly misleading -- Kerry does not support gay marriage, he supports civil unions to give homosexuals the rights to get health insurance of their partners and visit them in the hospital when they're sick. He does not "favor" partial birth abortion, he didn't vote for a ban because there were no protections for incest of the life of the mother -- what kind of sick person would "favor" partial birth abortion? That's very unfair. He has never "assaulted" the Boy Scouts, but opposes their discriminatory position and doesn't believe they should use our national parks free of charge if they discriminate. Kerry is a Christian, but he does not believe in forcing his beliefs on others (just like the founding fathers). We believe the term "Christian" is being politicized and morphed into something we most decidedly are not -- Republican.

I'm not quite sure how Mulvaney is a taxpayer hero when he is using state bonds and land deals to profit for himself. Sounds like the kind of taxpayer protection I don't want, especially from a man who is all about Charlotte (where his kids go to school, where his cell phone is registered, and probably where he pays the most taxes), which last time I checked was in NORTH Carolina.

GnuBerry,

Viewpolitik LLC assisted Rep. Mulvaney on a one-time basis in the preparation of polling questions back in August of this year. We found that he was winning (big), which is no doubt why Mrs. Powers-Norrell (hottie though she is) has chosen to wage such a nasty and dishonest campaign.

You'll have to ask Sic Willie about the details of the poll (e-mail him at w@viewpolitik.com), but I believe his firm offered to do it pro bono before Rep. Mulvaney insisted on providing compensation in the amount of $750, an amount which his campaign disclosed along with all of its other contributions and expenses.

This is in stark contrast to Mrs. Powers-Norrell's campaign, which continues to ignore state ethics law by refusing to disclose required occupational info regarding the thousands of dollars in contributions she's received from her liberal John Edwards trial lawyer buddies.

Oh, and $750???

All we can say to that is "puhhleeaze." If you're gonna accuse us of being on the take, you better come at us with more than chump change.

Tiger:

She is pro-gay....she is pro-ACLU...she is pro-choice...she is pro-tax. Go look it up. She has admitted all of those things.

Now, that may be Republican to you...but then that would make you part of the problem in the party.

Oh, and she supported Edwards first and now Obama...still looking for those elusive Palinesque features you trumpet so loudly.
