Stevens to do what is right. Well now suppose that were a democrat or political opponent...she would have been a tad harsher I believe. Maybe she's keeping her distance b/c of her original support of the "Bridge to Nowhere" but ever since his indictment, she changed her tune there as well. The Republic has survived far worse (i.e., 12 years of Bush I and II) and will be ripe for REAL Republicans. If only the South Carolina legislature could have as good a housecleaning... I for one hope for a fillibuster proof margin in the Senate to bring the full force of the democrat agenda to bear on the American people. The Republic has survived far worse (i.e., 12 years of Bush I and II) and will be ripe for REAL Republicans.
