Sic To Enviro Whackos: “Bring It”
Apparently, the Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) are a little pissed at us right now, as tree-hugger-in-chief Ann Timberlake fired off a bitter, caustic e-mail to state lawmakers and various other sources yesterday afternoon attacking FITS for a story we posted yesterday on the organization’s illegal mailing practices.
You can read our original story by clicking here.
Basically, we simply pointed out in our article that a non-profit mail permit was used by the CVSC to send political mail in violation of postal and IRS regulations – which the organization appears to be simultaneously denying … and yet acknowledging.
“Will Folks is blogging and making inaccurate charges,” Timberlake’s e-mail reads. “I am not responding to (FITS) as I do not consider it to be a credible source of information. If we are questioned by the mainstream media, we will defend our position.”
Wait … you’re “not responding” but you send out a mass e-mail response?
Interestingly enough, Timberlake’s response e-mail acknowledges that “one of the Lancaster (mail) pieces mistakenly showed our own non-profit permit.”
“If we wanted to use our non-profit permit for political mailers in the future, (the Post Office’s) advice was to apply to add our PAC to our non-profit filing,” Timberlake adds.
Okay … so what exactly was it that we got wrong, Mother Earth?
Anyway, in addition to Timberlake’s e-mail, a Beaufort-based attorney representing the conservationists hinted strongly that the organization was considering legal action against us.
Whatever.
“If a bunch of anti-deodorant tree huggers want to step in the ring with my attorneys, I’ve got one word for them – bring it,” said FITS founding editor Sic Willie.
Informed that “bring it” was actually two words, Sic just stared blankly for a several minutes before asking if anybody had seen his beanie.
“I’m a new boy,” he said. “I have to wear a beanie.”

I think it’s interesting how they are taking this story so serious even though they do not consider this blog to be a credible source of information.

Ann Timberlake has been given a free ride in the press and among insiders for all too long. It is time that whacko bunch gets the once over.
I think there are surpises there.
Will, Keep up the good work.

In the words of that great philosopher, Larry the Cable Guy, “I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there.”
sic(k) willie, the king of fake, in a spit’n contest with a fake conservation group. At least they have not claimed to be “the voice” for tree huggers.
And those thoughtful and insightful posts by long time fits readers “jay” and “greg” makes us think they might even be real people. It is a little known fact that the real names of the GEICO cavemen are “jay” and “greg.”
Believe It, or Not!
