GNR Is Back
After something like a 900-year hiatus, Guns-N-Roses will release a new studio album called Chinese Democracy one month from today.
Also, everyone in America who buys the album gets a free Dr. Pepper after the soft drink maker bet the band that it wouldn’t make its promised 2008 release date.
The first studio release of new material from GNR since 1991’s Use Your Illusion I (and II) , Chinese Democracy has been in the works since the mid-90’s as GNR has undergone multiple lineup changes and missed release deadlines.
As recently as 2005, production costs of the album were rumored to have been in the neighborhood of $13 million, leading some critics to call it “the most expensive album never made.”
You can check out the title track to Chinese Democracy by clicking the video link below … or by clicking here.
All we can say is it needs “more cowbell.”

Will, it’s one thing to speculate about the ins and outs of SC politics and politicos, but when you go pushing such horseshit, it really hurts your credibility. Especially when we all know the only thing more bogus than a release date for this album is Axl Rose in general.
The biggest shame of all is that the REAL G’n'R - Slash and the gang over in Velvet Revolver - are looking for a new lead singer. If Axl could drop the ego and work it out with his old band, they’d kick ass and make a lot of bucks.
There is no Chinese Democracy, only Axl’s Appetite for Dysfunction. That’s the real jungle, baby.
