New Media Rising
The point of this story should probably be the oft-discussed, seldom understood “rise of new media,” but we couldn’t help but get a little sidetracked.
That’s because the young woman who came to interview our founding editor yesterday on the state of the blogosphere was so “dead-on” in her questioning that we could’ve sworn Sic Willie was getting interviewed on national television … again.
Her name is Gabbi Baker and she’s a senior at Richland Northeast High School. She’s also already better at what she does than 99% of South Carolina’s professional television reporters, which bodes well for whatever she decides to do in the future.
Anyway, we look forward to sharing Gabbi’s report with you soon, assuming of course that it accurately captures Sic’s brilliance (without capturing his double-chin).
