Al Queda Squirrels
A suicide squirrel attack in Spokane, Washington has Homeland Security officials concerned about a possible link between the bushy-tailed critters and al Queda terrorists.
Who knows? There may even be ACORN involvement in this scandal.
Alright, we’re obviously kidding about the Homeland Security thing, but check out this story from local TV station KXLY and tell us if you’re not leery of what these suicide squirrels are capable of … particularly if they fell into the hands of somebody like Osama bin Laden (or Bill Ayers).
A squirrel ignited a fiery chain reaction that led to a power line collapse, car fire, natural gas fire and a power outage in northwest Spokane Wednesday morning.
It all started … (when) a squirrel came in contact with a transformer. That single action set in motion a chain of events.
First, the power line burned through causing the line to fall to the ground and come into contact with a metal fence and a car. The car caught on fire.
The fence, meanwhile, was energized by the fallen power line and the electricity was conducted underground to a natural gas pipeline which in turn burned through and started an underground natural gas fire which burned up to two gas meters at nearby houses.
The fire department extinguished the fires while (the local power company) shut off the natural gas pipeline … the squirrel did not survive the melee.
Damn … maybe it’s time to stop braking for squirrels. They may be too stupid to cross the street, but it’s obvious Allah has other uses for them.
Wait, was that last comment Islamophobic?

Don’t run over them. Savor them — in a tasty stew, gumbo, et tu fe…
