Seriously, when one of South Carolina’s “Teachers of the Year” gets caught having a sexual relationship with a female student, is it too much to ask that she’s at least a little bit hot?

Or that the girl in question is a little bit legal?

Apparently so, for such is the sad story of Kanesa Hopkins, the Berkeley County (S.C.) public school teacher who pled guilty Monday to charges of lewd acts with a minor under the age of sixteen.

The girl Hopkins was hooking up with was 14 years old at the time the relationship “became sexual,” and was in Hopkins’ math class at Westview Middle School as well as her Sunday School Class.

Hopkins received a 5-year suspended sentence and 2-years of probation.

Unbelievable.

South Carolina’s mainstream media is a friggin’ joke, people. They print whatever lies and excuses the State Department of Education offers for South Carolina having the absolute worst public education system in the history of the Western World (despite getting boatloads of new money), but then they completely sweep scandals like this one under the rug.
