LSU Wants To “Take Tebow Out”

By fitsnews • on October 8, 2008

Since neither one of South Carolina’s major football teams is good enough to talk any trash (or worth talking any trash about) this year, we have to turn to competitive programs to fulfill our desperate need for sports controversy.

Thankfully, on that front we have a crazy Cajun named Ricky Jean-Francois, a 6′ 3″ 281-pound sophomore defensive lineman for defending national champion LSU - a team that’s so good our local Wal-Mart stores advertise their fan schwag.

Anyway, Jean-Francois is feeling the heat this week after telling a reporter that the LSU defense was going to try to “take out” Heisman Trophy winning Florida quarterback Tim Tebow when the Tigers meet the Gators Saturday night in the “Swamp” in Gainesville.

“If we get a good shot on [Tebow], we’re going to try our best to take him out of the game,” Jean-Francois told the Orlando Sentinel on Monday.

Florida coaches were not amused, with one of them saying that “intentionally injuring other players is not part of the game that we teach here.”

Of course the LSU athletic department quickly put out a statement in Jean-Francois’ name saying that “taking Tebow out” meant that LSU’s defense was going to “try to make him ineffective,” and that “we never go into any football game trying to hurt a player from the other team.”

Uh-huh.

Frankly we think Jean-Francois might want to consider finding another player to “take out” seeing as Tebow has God’s Army on his side.

In case you were wondering, Florida has opened as a four-point favorite against the undefeated Tigers in this battle of the last two national championship teams.

LSU items are selling in Wal Mart - and countless stores across the country because LSU is a premier, top-notch athletic program and fine school.

When USC breaks the .500 barrier in football - some 110 years of mediocrity, wins a dozen or so SEC championships and three national championships, they’ll start carrying ‘Cock items at the Hess in Pelion.

I hate the fact that people are getting upset that lsu wants to take tebow out. That’s the gameplan for every school that plays florida. It’s common sense. And about USC, what happened to that all-star reciving core you guys got?
