Yeah, them thar illegalz are bad… Come on, there are far worse things going on in this country (think SC education - what a scam) then some illegals trying to provide a better life for their family than in their own gawd forsaken shithole of a country. We should just tax the hell out ‘em like the rest of us…Just because you were born here doesn’t mean you can’t open your arms and share a piece of the American dream with those who want to work hard and provide a better life…hell if we’re to get out of this aweful economic mess, business may very well need more hard working people willing to work at a lower wage…you know what that means…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Natasha, I agree with you that the mechanics of rounding up 12 million+ illegals and deporting them are virtually impossible. I personally am not opposed to some type of arrangement where illegals here who have no record and have been productive members of society can gain a legal status. Whatever that status may be. However, there are so many here, and it has had such negative impacts on our society and economy, that it cannot be ignored. Something has to be done.
Is voting for Obama in SC throwing your vote away when you know McCain will win the state? No! So if you support the Libertarian idea of less government than vote that way, I am!
Rick-ety Rick Rick...
There I was having an exchange of pleasantries with Ms. Calder and you had to go and call me an imbecile...
I know Web 2.0 is hard to distinguish the nice from the not-so-nice, but honestly, we can all do without name calling...In fact, I'd bet that we're both voting for the same man and woman for office come November.
There is no way in hell you can deport the millions upon millions of illegals in the US today. Why not have them pay into the system so they pay for the services they use...Why not let them get insurance so they don't leave hospitals to write off bad debt...But maybe they "threaten" the likes of you for some unknown reason...Have you ever been outside the US? Wait, have you ever been outside SC?
But lets face it, an imbecile like me, why I do perrty well for myself, perrty well respected in my field, perrty well compensated, no complaints. There is no reason to go about calling people names for a difference of opinion or exchange of ideas...
This isn't the playground or pre-k.
Gee Natasha, so if we hire these poor people at lower wages, where would imbeciles like you find a job? These people break the law and violate the sovereignty of the US, use social services they're not entitled to, use false identification to violate more US laws, all because they live in a shithole of a country, By you're reasoning, I guess it's ok to allow anyone to come into the US unasked. I'm sure that every April 15th, you willingly give the local, state and federal taxing authorities enough money to take care of the debt they have incurred. And unlike other immigrants that followed the rules, became American citizens, paid taxes, educated their children these poor excuses for human beings deserve not only to be deported but to be walked from where they are picked up to the nearest border all the while buying their own food and water, sleeping in ditches etc until they re-enter their respective countries. I will welcome anyone that follows the rules, but for those willfully violating our sovereignty...
Screw McCain and Obama. They are two sides of the same coin. If you really want to save this country, vote Libertarian.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
That is nice theory. In reality, it is throwing your vote away. Maybe at some point in the future a Libertarian will be president, but it won't be this election.

If illegals had to pay taxes in order to be legal, to gain legal status in this country...they would do it. They're only illegal because they can't get their visas extended or are not allowed citizenship...they (how awful) want the same dream we all have...to provide the best life to their families possible...what if you were born into some shithole in guatemala or hondurus or mexico...would you want to live in a slum making pennies a day and living in horrible conditions and poverty? my guess is prolly not...

Good answer Sally, but Hillary drank from the same cesspool Hussein did....
Fits, both parties suck, but how do you get the sheeples to throw off their self imposed shackles and wake up to the fact we're losing the greatest idea in the history of mankind? What other country has ever used its people and treasury to bring freedom and opportunity to others? I'm beginning to believe that this country needs a dose of Hussein to understand the pain he's looking to inflict. Just read the Navy Times last evening, article showcasing how the military is looking to vote in this election, Officers and Enlisted are overwhelmingly looking at McCain, these are men and women that are voting with their lives....kinda makes my concerns puny....

McCain is not a fiscal conservative , limited government Republican leader. McCain has no plans to balance our budget. He is not for any major reform in our federal government.

If you are for a limited federal government, a balanced budget, and for protecting your privacy and individual rights you hav e to vote 3rd party. McCain or Obama are both false choices- so quit trying to defend McCain against Obama - it is a mindless argument .
