Family Fun At The Zoo

The expression “Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh My!” took on a whole new meaning this afternoon as our founding editor took the family to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, S.C.

They watched lions, they watched tigers and they watched bears … as well as some elephants, giraffes and zebras … but it was a particularly amorous male tortoise who provided the “Oh My!”

Right in front of several dozen blushing onlookers, this guy got the look in his eye and started busting moves left and right, getting rejected twice before finding what we can only assume is the “easy” tortoise at the zoo.

Seriously, people, we’ve never seen a tortoise move that fast … well, with the exception of these tortoises.
