I most enjoyed watching Joe's facial expressions! It seemed he had a major bout of gas. Oh to play a few rounds of Texas Holdem with Ol' Joe and I'd retire. At one point I thought he was going to call for a timeout so he could get a drink of water and cool down. When he reached for his collar to loosen it, that, in card playing terms, is a tell - that he was blowing it. He did regroup enough to bring the debate to a draw. However, shouldn't a man with 36 years in the Senate and two presidential campaigns under his belt have been able to win a debate over such an 'inexperienced' opponent?

It's just unfortunate that Palin has better stage presence than McCain and he has to rely on her to prop him up. How the republicans in this country (and we especially have the in-bred, cross-eyed, kuckle dragger loving republicans in South Caorlina to thank for that)chose someone with worse speaking skills than President Bush is beyond me. Frankly, there is little in Obama's policies that I agree with, but it's refreshing to hear him speak.

I doubt Obama's middle class tax cuts will ever materialize since our country is for all intents and purposes bankrupt. But you know what? I can use a few extra bucks in my paycheck a heck of a lot more than the folks making the big bucks.

Palin did well. She didn't answer any question that she hadn't rehearsed for. She remembered all the sound bites she had been trying to memorize for the past week. She only screwed up two names. But most importantly, the rear camera shots of her tush, legs, and high heels were great! One thing that might hurt her is if that young daughter of hers drops the baby during or after a public appearance! I would never let my son tote my daughter around like that. Maybe that's just how they do up in Alaska!
