Anyone else would be hanged. He was found guilty now he should pay. He's too old to run again we need new direction and that's the trouble with Congress And the Senators. Ought to be a TERM LIMIT. He's Guilty the Jury said so. Now he deserves punishment not a slap on the wrist' He will do it again only worse. DON. Compare the Girdwood house of Senator Stevens to other Senators house's aroound the country. Check out their purchases and remodels and see what great deals they got. Now look at how many of these Senators have been investigated for not disclosing gifts. If in fact, Senator Stevens knowingly did not report a gift, let the full Senate deal with it. These are not felony type crimes. How many of your taxe dollars have been spent on this investigation? The Feds could easily be wrong. Check out Security Aviation and the five felony counts that were brought against them by the DOJ. Then check out the five "not guilty" verdicts that followed. Time will tell. The evidence provided by both the Defense and the Prosecution support Mr. Stevens. How can one report things that they had no knowledge of? This man has served this country longer than any other Republican Senator in US history. It's unbelievable to think he would throw it all away for some measly house renovations.
