Poll Alert: SC Doesn’t Want New Taxes

In news that will no doubt result in a tiny Socialist tear falling from the eye of Comrade Hugh Leatherman, it turns out the vast majority of South Carolinians are (surprise) opposed to tax hikes – even those specifically aimed at providing additional funding for things like infrastructure and public education.

According to fresh polling data provided to FITSNews by House Majority Leader Jimmy Merrill, identical surveys of Palmetto State residents in multiple geographic areas revealed one immutable truth – they don’t want our already “blowed-up” state government sucking up any more of their money.

Like, not at all … not even when the question is put to them very, very nicely.

A sample of residents in one Lowcountry, S.C. district, for example, found 77% of general election voters were opposed to any tax increase, while only 17% supported raising taxes to pay for “important projects.”

In an Upstate district, 76% of voters opposed tax hikes, while only 16% approved of them.

Over in a rural Pee Dee district (i.e. Leatherman’s backyard), 70% of voters opposed tax hikes, with only 21% voicing approval.

The most fertile ground for tax hike support – well, assuming you define “fertile” as getting trounced by a two-to-one margin – was the Midlands area of the state, which is disproportionately-filled with state government employees.

In one suburban Columbia district, 67% of voters opposed tax hikes compared to 26% who supported them.

We passed along these results on to our founding editor, Sic Willie, who laughed maniacally for several minutes before pausing dramatically and saying in his best menacing Latino voice that “the streets will flow with the blood of the non-believers.”

Of course that’s pretty much what he always says, no matter what you ask him.

Well, who’s surprised by that? You’re the one who says South Carolina is filled with inbred knuckle-draggers. Who do you think responded to this poll?

I read today that, according to the FBI, we are the most violent state in the nation. Yehaw, another first.

Stupid, fat, poor, and violent…oh yea baby, our republican party is doing a great job. Thanks Katon, Mark and Company.

“Nope,”

The legislature is filled with inbred knuckledraggers. The rest of the state are hard-working people who suffer under them.

Led by led by the “inbrededest knuckle dragger” of them all Bobby Harrell.

And as an aside….Hugh Leatherman in a short sleeve button down…..and a tie……classic.

I am sure behind the podium are the matching jean shorts.

Just don’t want to be overtaxed. Get some decent people in the State House or move the capitol to Charleston and things might run more smoothly.

Hasn’t Sanfraud and his posse left yet? Shit, no they haven’t.

Sanfraud’s ripe for the picking. IMPEACH. If he did his job as well as Clinton and listened to Jenny, he could stay. But sorry, he didn’t.
