Whatever
Seriously … this is not really that great a catch. In fact, we have a pink glitter Nerf football around the office and Sic Willie makes acrobatic receptions like this one all the time.
And really – who the hell are Morgan State and Winston-Salem State anyway? High school doesn’t count, people.
This catch is honestly not even half as impressive as the one Chargers defensive back Antonio Cromartie made against our beloved Indianapolis Colts’ last year. How come? Well, first of all Cromartie was playing defense – meaning Peyton Manning was actually trying to throw it where he couldn’t catch it.
On top of that, Cromartie’s catch (watch it here) was made in the NFL … not whatever league it is that Winston Salem State plays in.
We’re kidding of course (props to Morgan State WR Edwin Baptiste) … well, except for the part about Sic Willie’s Nerf skills.
Oh, and as much as we hate to admit it to our Clempsun friends, former farmer Dwight Clark’s end zone snag for the San Francisco 49ers is and will always be “The Catch” in our book.

Unbelievable. Maybe the Gamecocks (or Clemson for that matter) can get this guy to transfer. The Gamecocks don’t need catches like this. They just need receivers who can catch when it’s thrown to the numbers.
Too bad Gamecock QBs don’t throw to the numbers. Which actually makes catches like this useful to Spurrier.
