The State/SNAKE/La Socialista has been useless as a newspaper ever since Knight Ridder bought and re-programed The State in 1986. For those with shallow math skills at BIN, that would be twenty-two (22) years ago. The State DID briefly rise to the occasion with its reporting on Hurricane Hugo in 1989 (garnering a finalist distinction for the Pulitzer Prize in general news reporting as apart of said coverage). Otherwise, the City of Columbia has not had a decent newspaper since the days of The Columbia Record - and that's a fact. So sorry BIN News.

I watch the news (and listen to radio) for the politics alone and I always mute it or change the channel when sports comes on. The SNAKE has been a thoroughly dishonest leftist propaganda rag for many years now, and everyone knows it. For confirmation of this, all one need do is check out the overwhelming number of yankee license plates in The SNAKE parking lot.
