We Feel Like Dancin’
We’ll be honest … the notion of us covering something with even a shred of cultural significance attached to it is anathema to every fiber of our being. We make it a point to avoid the “artsy-fartsy” world at all costs, in large part because our founding editor is just plain “fartsy,” something which has never gone over too well with the people who populate these swanky circles.
But today is different, because (go ahead and get your “surprised face” ready) … there are hot chicks involved.
Specifically, we’re talking about Caroline Lewis and Susan Dabney (above ), who have founded South Carolina’s newest dance studio … well, in addition to their starring roles in Sic Willie’s fantasy life.
Anyway, Lewis and Dabney have joined forces to create Unbound Dance, an alternative dance outfit based in Columbia, S.C. – a city that’s supposed to be “Famously Hot” but in reality is notorious for its dearth of interesting things to do.
Well, that’s changing.
The Unbound team will be making its debut next month at the Columbia Music Festival, and Lewis and Dabney have been planning the performance for months, right down to the wine list and h’ors d’oeuvres they’ll be serving their guests (we told you it was classy).
So what are we expecting from the show?
Honestly, we have no clue. Asking us to preview a dance performance is like asking Andrew Dice Clay to teach kindergarten. Our guess is that there will be music. And dancing.
We also suspect that there will be more than a few guys who show up exclusively to drool over
Susan and Caroline, as well as the other smokelicious babes in the twelve-person outfit (10 gals, 2 dudes).
Of course, what really surprises us is that more men don’t take advantage of opportunities like this.
Seriously, where else can a guy watch excruciatingly hot women writhe around on stage, moving their tone, limber bodies for his gratification? Oh – and get a pat on the back from his woman for it at the same time?
Anyway, stuff like this is exactly the kind of thing South Carolina needs more of, which is why we hope you’ll join us in checking out Unbound’s debut performance Friday night or one of the troupe’s three follow-up shows on Saturday and Sunday.
Here are all the details:
UNBOUND will have its opening performance October 3rd at 7:00 pm, with a follow-up performance at the same time on the 4th. Also, matinee performances will be held on October 4th and 5th at 3:00 pm. All performances will be held at the Columbia Music Festival Association Art Space located at 914 Pulaski Street in Columbia. Tickets will be $20.00 per person for all evening performances and $10.00 for all matinee performances.
