If these Republicans knew half of what John Spratt does for the people of South Carolina (which, in their heart, they do), then they wouldn’t attack him. If and when John Spratt retires, South Carolina will be thirsting for leadership.

The real shame in Washington are the blowhards like Wilson, Barrett and DeMint who are too busy trying to make a name for themselves instead of representing the best interests of their constituents. John Spratt is of that Tip O’Neill mentality that all politics is local, which is why he busts his ass for the people of South Carolina, in order to save their’s. This is why John Spratt, with the exception of the strong GOP year in 1994, has not come close to being defeated. He’ll win this year with 74% of the vote, the 26% going to this no show from Republican bendovers like Katon Dawson.

Wow, I guess they missed blowhard, Michael Moore joking with Olberman that Gustav hitting NOLA on the opening night of the Republican Convention was sign that there was a God. I don’t know about you, but I think there is a bigger spotlight on Moore than on Dawson. How about everyone stop trying to tiptoe through the tulips on the issue. A hurricane that is nowhere near as strong as Katrina hits NOLA, everyone batten down the damn hatches, its the end of the world because we as a nation somehow need to have an emotional connection to NOLA…please cut the crap and get over it already.
