Joe Wilson Needs A Website Filter

OPPONENT’S PRESS RELEASE HEADLINES GOP CONGRESSMAN’S WEBSITE
FITSNews – August 18, 2008 – We were all set to do a story on how Congressman Joe Wilson’s latest campaign tour was being funded with taxpayer dollars, but before we could put fingers to keyboard on that story we found an strange item on the GOP Congressman’s official website … a link to a press release put out by his Democratic opponent, Rob Miller.
Actually, it was more than just a link … Wilson’s website has his opponents’ talking points headlined and everything, with a button urging viewers to “read more.”
The Democratic release refers to Wilson’s schedule of events this week as a “bus tour for the status quo,” and chides the Congressman for his “unwavering support for the failed unfunded federal mandate ‘No Child Left Behind,’” as well as for “trying to convince voters that the country is on the right track and simply needs more of the same policies and ideas.”
In case anybody still cares, it turns out that Wilson’s bus tour is being funded with taxpayer dollars. As for his campaign website? Yeah, it’s run by these numbnuts …
UPDATE – BTW, we’ve started the clock on how long it takes Smokin’ Joe’s Internet Army to figure out that their opponent is headlining their website …
UPDATE II – Hey, it only took forty minutes … nice work, guys.

Do you know Joe Wilson? He’s a guy with a marketing gimmik: He gives out key chains and signs autographed pictures. He’s a like a used car sales with a big fake grin, a slap on the back and says things like, “call me anything you want, just don’t call me late for lunch!” Republicans know that Joe doesn’t like to cut deals and so he doesn’t really pull in anything good in terms of jobs or legislation or military support for the district. He says it’s because he doesn’t believe in government, but it’s because he doesn’t really know what else to do besides smiling broadly and handing out key chains
