TUMOR REMOVED, FURTHER TREATMENT IMMINENT

FITSNews - August 11, 2008 - Veteran political consultant Rod Shealy underwent surgery today at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, with doctors successfully removing a cancerous tumor from his brain.

According to reports from his family, the 54-year old consultant is recovering nicely but will require further treatment. He is expected to remain under observation at MUSC for the next few days.

Shealy - who has already survived one bout with cancer - was diagnosed last week by his family physician and former gubernatorial client, Dr. Oscar Lovelace.

Our best wishes are with Rod and the entire Shealy family.  Here’s hoping for a quick and speedy recovery …

Praise God! Please keep praying for Rod and his family. Life is short and a gift that is given to us by God.When it is all said and done at the end of the day we are all people that need to love one another.
