OUR NEW MUSIC CRITIC IS ALL ABOUT GUNSHOTS AND TAKIN’ MONEY, PEOPLE

FITSNews – August 8, 2008 – We’ll have to negotiate with British songwriter M.I.A. to see if her hit “Paper Planes” can be used as the official theme song for the FITSNews store. Why? Because we, too, “pack and deliver like UPS trucks,” and at the end of the day, all we wanna do is “(gunshot-gunshot-gunshot-gunshot) and-a take your money.”

Anyway, this steamy hybrid of a song (Erykah Badu meets “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For?”) is the first in what we hope will be several contributions from PalmettoBands.net founder Karl Snorlax-Hussein, whom the FITS gals fell in love with after he called Sic Willie a fag for having not one – but two John Mayer CD’s in his car.

That’s right …

Incidentally, we’ve read where the “four gunshot” chorus of this immigration-themed song has become pretty controversial (particularly now that “Paper Planes” has cracked the U.S. Top 30) but since we enjoy shooting people so much, it doesn’t bother us.
