ICE Immigration Proposal Draws Icy Response
WAY TO GO, FEDS!

FITSNews - August 6, 2008 - It seems the feds have finally wrangled a solution to the immigration issue: Just ask ‘em to go back home.
The federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division is currently “offering” illegal aliens the opportunity to turn themselves in, in exchange for several months’ postponement of deportation.
The conditions? A pre-existing court order to leave the country, and an otherwise clean record.
The ICE invitation has, shockingly, garnered only one response from the 457,000 illegal aliens who would qualify …
“You would have to be crazy - who would want to turn themselves in?,” said illegal Angel Martinez
Exactly.
Apparently ICE officials fancy themselves clever ad people, crafting this idiocy as a “limited-time offer.”
Uhhh … a limited-time offer? Like those late-night silver coins? Or those juicy McDonald’s McRibs?
Sorry, ICE, but “self-deportation” just doesn’t elicit the same get-’em-while-they’re-hot frenzy as, say, a run on churros at the Wal-Mart.
Probably the dumbest thing about this “campaign” is that it only applies to those with clean records.
Purging the country of law-abiding immigrants would, obviously, leave only the bottom-barrel dregs, further lowering the lowest common denominator to which the American government consistently appeals, caters, and spoon-feeds.
Which is why it’s good that nobody’s dumb enough to accept ICE’s offer.

Obama, McCain, Governors, Mayors, Councilors, City managers take notice! 80 percent of the American people are watching! Not just Postville, Iowa meatpacking facility were in violation of the law. How many more nefarious companies out their, violating safety and immigration laws. When ICE knocks on the door eventually–and they will, under the Federal SAVE ACT (H.R.4088). Deportation is an absolute certainty. Whereas, voluntary departure ‘ATTRITION’ means you can re-apply like all the millions of patient legal immigrants. NUMBERSUSA for uncensored facts

Tough enforcement is a necessary step toward
ending the still-pervasive notion that it’s OK to enter this country
illegally. It isn’t. It doesn’t benefit any of us to have millions of
people living here whose first act in the country was to break one of its
laws.

Well these people are not immigrants, law abiding or otherwise. The fact that ICE would attempt this is pretty lame to think that people are going to turn themselves in after breaking who knows how many federal and state laws. But you never know, some souls just may decide to come clean.

Don’t push too hard.and think of the consequences. A lot of our fellow citizens working as leadmen, clerks, supervisors etc. will also lose their jobs. Who do you think will replace the 12M illegals if they are all deported?. We’ve been following you daily — your comments are mostly out of topic and irrelevant. Please READ before you comment. One last thing, Numbers USA is ranked among FAIR, Lou Dobbs clan, Tancredo, Tanton and the like and could not be trusted to play even on a fair immigration topic.

Then you cannot be part of the 80 percent of the American population, who are fed up with illegal immigrants feeding at the public welfare trough? When House leader Nancy Pelosi and her Liberal-Socialist following gut the need for Americans first Amendment right. Then you have condemned this country to the erosion of the Rule of Law. Being an old, academic I am glad it that has not happened as yet? You must be a member of the well-financed special interest lobby, who is more interested in Profit…than OVERPOPULATION, within 20 years.
