More On Harrell’s “Skull-Cracking”
SPEAKER SEEKS TO DICTATE SELECTION OF NEW EDUCATION COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN
FITSNews - August 4, 2008 - Rumors of S.C. House Speaker Bobby Harrell’s “skull-cracking” approach to the forthcoming legislative session appear to be taking definitive form this week, as several State Representatives have confirmed to FITSNews that Harrell is in negotiations with defeated Education Committee Chairman Bob Walker to ensure that another big-spending RINO takes his place at the helm of the House Education Committee.
According to Harrell’s plan, that RINO - State Rep. Bill Whitmire - would become the second “GOP” chairman in a row to serve as little more than a rubber stamp for Democratic Superintendent of Education Jim Rex.
Walker and Harrell are reportedly hoping to engineer Whitmire’s election to the post prior to the convening of the upcoming legislative session, with Harrell already privately conveying his intentions to Republican and Democratic members of the committee.
Harrell has the exclusive authority to name committee members in the House, but it’s ultimately up to those committees to select their respective Chairmen.

Why would Harrell need to negotiate anything with Walker?

Harrell will go the way of Rick Quinn. At his core Harrell is an incumbent democrat with zero Republican principles. Harrell’s constituents aren’t as dumb as he thinks they are.
I hope Slick Rick has a barback job available for BS Bobby.
