… AND AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
FITSNews – July 16, 2008 – The road to relevancy for our little website over the past year-and-a-half has been a steady, arduous climb. What began in December 2006 as an occasional forum for a handful of die-hard S.C. political insiders is now an online juggernaut boasting nearly a quarter million visitors each month. Persistence, perversion and perspicacity … it’s just how we roll, baby.
We never anticipated anything resembling that sort of growth, of course, but we can certainly point to a few key moments in our Internet infancy which bear responsibility – not the least of which was the release of our Palmetto Power 100 list in August 2007.
Originally conceived as a way to keep people tuned in during the dog days of summer, our detailed assemblage of the 100 most powerful South Carolina political figures was a tremendous hit – boosting our credibility as well as our audience (and getting our founding editor Sic Willie in some serious trouble with several would-be important folks who didn’t like their ranking – or lack thereof).
Anyway, since the Power 100 was such a surprise smash last year, we’ll be releasing the 2008 edition this summer – on the third Sunday in August, to be precise. And since last year’s success would have been impossible without the hundreds of thoughtful suggestions we received from our loyal FITS fans, we’re hoping to hear from you again this year.

Let’s start with the mythical Midland’s elected official you claimed had a “Strom Problem.†You promised names & details. We’re waiting.

Then there was the day you were hired by your buddy at SCHOTLINE. One of your tasteless posts did you in. Hired and fired – same day.
Then there was your post about shooting your gun. A .22 Ruger? Hope you dumped it. Convicted Felons are not allowed to have guns.
Moving on, again. So to speak.
We should have highlighted your CDV conviction sooner. You pleaded GUILTY. Kicked door. Broke furniture. Bruised girlfriend. .
Lucky you didn’t get years in the slammer.
And we all recall your allegations Gub’ner Sanfraud made a payoff to the family of a “poor little black girl.†You suggested boating incident and promised details & facts. We’re waiting, your relevancy.
Another classic willie scam was your FOI demand for the Gub’ner’s laptop. You said he violated ethics laws because of data he kept on it. Did you get your hands on the laptop? Such a foolish stunt.
Where do we go next?
We’ve been trying to help sic(k) willie understand the truth. The real problems facing public education in S.C include:
1) poverty – and the host of social ills that come with it
2) “latent” racism – with roots to Colonial days
3) funding – lack of fair, adequate and balanced funding
4) the pitiful “minimally adequate” standard our Legislature permits
BIN News has enough material to go on and on and on for brazillions of hours about sic(k) willie’s lack of relavancy. But what’s the point?
You get the point. sic(k) willie is a scam.
And the voucher scam in S.C. is like Zed, Baby.
