Mark Sanford – Not Ready For Prime Time
NOW WE KNOW WHY THEY CALL HIM “MOONBEAM”
FITSNews – July 14, 2008 – It turns out S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford isn’t being vetted for the Vice Presidency after all … which is only surprising to those of you who weren’t reading our little website back in February. Anyway, after the governor’s shaky appearance on CNN’s Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer yesterday, he’s probably not being vetted for any job that requires talking to people or remembering things correctly, either.
Here’s an excerpt from the train wreck:
BLITZER: Are there any significant economic differences between what the Bush administration has put forward over these many years as opposed to now what John McCain supports?
SANFORD: Um, yeah. I mean for instance, take, you know, ummm, uhhhh, take for instance the, the issue of uhhh, of um — I’m drawing a blank, um, I hate it when I do that, particularly on television. But take, take for instance the contrast on NAFTA. I mean, I think that the bigger issue is credibility in where one is coming from … on … are they consistent where they come from.
Yikes-a-roni. In addition to being incorrect (both George W. Bush and John McCain have consistently supported free trade in general, and NAFTA in particular), Sanford actually managed to sound marginally less intelligent than Miss Teen SC Caitlin Upton. Remember her? She’s the Lexington County native who infamously bombed a beauty pageant question by bumbling incoherently about how South Africa, “the Iraq” and a bunch of Asians stole America’s maps.
Seriously, people. In case you couldn’t already tell from our education system, we put a whole lot of “stupid” in the water supply down here …

Such unfair questioning. Had they asked anything about hiring relatives, throwing a cast net, growing tomatoes, or cruising chicks at the beach he would have wowed the nation. Instead they had to ask dumb political stuff.
Someone should tell the Guv about the 5 Ps.

Nice exclusive, right down to the Caitlin Upton reference.

Wow, that really sucked. Wouldn’t you hate to be his press aide today.

How dare Wolf ask pertinent political questions to try to gauge the contrasts between the candidates.
The nerve …
And yes McCain would be a 3rd Bush term- everyone with or without a brain knows it, too.

How dare Wolf to ask pertinent questions regarding the contrasts between Bush and McCain? The nerve of reporters these days
And if there was ever any doubt -this goes to prove you do not have to have a brain to know that there is practically no difference between McCain and Bush -

And this differs from Obama how???……..

That I must admit with the crickets was hysterical

That wasn’t that bad! After reading the “partial” transcript I was anticipating a total train wreck. Once he got this Sh*t together he actually made a good point of how McCain would veto wasteful earmarks while Bush can’t seem to understand the power of the veto. He even got in little jab at Obama for his flip flopping on NAFTA. Not nearly as entertaining as Miss Teen USA.

The answer marvelously reflects the clarity and logic employed in Gov. Sanford’s general decision-making. God save us. At least Cate Upton is hot:

It used to be republicans were sady entertaining. Now they’re just, well, sad.

Oh, come on guys! We’ve always known Sanford was a semi-literate in-bred plantation baby. If he can’t talk from the notes Howie prepares for him, he can’t talk at all.

By the way, Wilbur. I despise Sanford, and love to see him exposed for what he is – an arrogant dolt busy spending his daddy’s money playing politics.
But don’t forget, Wilbur, Little Richie Rich Sanford is the only, and I mean THE ONLY, person in the world who ever thought it was a good idea to hire you and pay you a nickle to do anything. That decision, and this video, are both glaring examples of one thing – Sanford’s utter stupidity.
It’s pretty ironic that you take such pleasure in mocking him. I’m not telling you to stop – please continue. It’s just ironic, is all.

I think Sanford got into T-Rav’s stash. He is clearly high as a kite in this video.

Jesus effin’ Christmas! McCain could pick Heydrich as his running mate and pick up more votes than with this clown at his side.

CNN’s still around? Seriously? I had no idea.
By Gullyborg on July 15th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
I agree Sanford isn’t ready for primetime… yet. Maybe when President McCain chooses Lindsay Graham for AG, Sanford will take over that Senate seat. If he works at improving his image and builds up some more national credentials, he could be VERY appealing in 2016.
Ifs, to be sure, but far from improbable.

Come on. This is only feeding the liberal GOP tax-and-spend deranged conspiracy nuts (aka opportunists). I started to doubt Sanford when he endorsed McCain and then signed the bullsh*t “immigration reform”. But now, after watching this, I’m starting to like him again.
So, he has such a hard time coming up with a reason to like Juan McCain. Me too! So, he especially can’t find anything about McCain to like that Bush didn’t already do. Me too! Hell’s bells! I feel sorry for the poor guy. He just blurted out the only thing that came to mind. He basically said that Pat Buchanan (and Ross Perot) are right about NAFTA. Well, I agree! I’ll bet Mark’s dying to say something about the Superhighway, and the coming of the North American Union and the Amero. No wonder Wolf Blitzer is the one making Mark look bad. Sanford should wait until he travels to 57 of the states and that would make him elgible to be President. No 2nd seat for him.

Maybe Guv was overzealous for a ticket out of here. This could have happened to anyone in that state of mind and it is disheartening to watch.
