Well Crooner, all that Saddam had to do was co-operate with inspection teams. Thinking he was dealing with Jimmy, Barbeque, or Slick Willie, he made the wrong decision at the wrong time. Cost him and us. If Bush can continue to make the progress he's making, without Barbeque or Jimmy hopelessly crying on a man's shoulder, the introduction/spread of democracy may be the future. But then again, like most of Barbeques campaign contibutors, a hope for failure will be your claim to fame. Run for office, Nancy and Harry need help. The Dems are finding out that the oil issue is theirs to solve and they're doing the Barbeque. (Thats flopping for crooners)

"So what Bush and Cheney have done is hand over a Middle Eastern country to an extreme Islamist group bent on the destruction of Israel and its Zionist allies."

What the hell are you talking about? Please cite a single statement from the IRAQI government (we have not invaded Iran - yet) calling for the destruction of Israel. Your statement relies on one of two dubious premises - either all Shia Muslims are, by definition, extreme Islamists, or you are claiming that Iran now controls Iraq.

If you believe that Iran is a massive destabilizing force in the Middle East, then you should be really upset with Dumbass Dubya's pre-emptive Iraq strike. It was apparently a very well-kept secret (at least from the Bush administration) that Saddam was from the Sunni minority and ruthlessly kept the Shia majority in check. Some may argue with Saddam's tactics in doing so but, hey, if we're now talking about levelling Iran what's the problem with genocide on a small scale? The Shia, as you may recall, are the dominant group in Iran.

You're doing a helluva job, Bushie.

I would suggest one read the latest from Seymour Hirsch on our covert intelligence tax dollars operating inside of Iran trying to destable their government.

It is just out and a very good read - if you like in depth intelligence of course

Why boys and their penises? Oh thats right, we're the ones required to make the world "Safe" for the sit down crowd. We've known of Irans capacities for years, theres nothing new here. Its designed to have the "sit down" crowd get their panties in a twist screaming for safety and "Oh lets pull the covers over our heads and hide" while you make the bad man go away. After all Women would never be so testosterone level driven to hurt anyone...right. Does anyone believe that Iran is a massive destabilizing force in the Middle East? Backing such wonderfully diverse groups like Hezbollah and Hamas just makes a "thrill run up my leg" and makes me believe that Iran wouldn't elimenate all the other countries that disagree with their pursuit of a fanatical muslim middle east. If you want to watch oil prices raise...let Iran run free and unfettered. Best practice " pin point bombing of all nuclear development sites, removal of all ballistic capabilities, and the promise of freedom. It took our country a great many years and lives to bring about the experiment we have going on, it will take a great many more to bring about that idea to a people who don't even begin to understand the possibilities of freedom. Hiding under the bed screaming that the boogie man is coming won't engender peace. Peace is earned by Strength and a willingness to fight for it. Don't believe me....tell that rapist that you believe in his right to have his way, just please don't hurt you. I'm sure he'll respect your wishes. Or, better yet....shoot him in the Nads...he'll surely respect that reaction. Peace through Strength.

A bit hyperbolic eh? From the linked AP news article:

------------["
The report showed footage of at least three missiles firing simultaneously, and said the barrage included a new version of the Shahab-3 missile, which officials have said has a range of 1,250 miles (2,000 kilometers) and is armed with a 1-ton conventional warhead.

That would put Israel, Turkey, the Arabian peninsula, Afghanistan and Pakistan within striking distance.
"]-----------

1,250 miles from Iran doesn't reach the US. Skip HS Geography, did we? This is not meant to minimize the concern though. Even the AP article leans away from the totality. With these missiles, and a launch facility anywhere within sovereign Iran, available targets include every country on the Arab Peninsula, all of the Middle East, and into the edge of Egypt, The Whole Central Asian Steppes, Russia, India, China, and the Former Soviet breakaways that border Turkey, but who is counting eh? These missiles cannot come close to hitting America though.
