UMMMM … IN WHAT TRAILER PARK?

FITSNews - July 8, 2008 - As much as we admire certain things about Nicole Kidman (and certain other NSFW things), we have to say her taste in men has been a little disappointing. Take her latest beau Keith Urban, who is very popular in trailer parks where twang is spoken (and his native New Zealand), but considerably less popular among people with multiple brain cells.

Anyway, Urban and Kidman had a baby girl this week, and they’re getting major shout-outs for their decision to name her “Sunday Rose.” From USA Today :

With the birth of their daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban on Monday in Nashville, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban became the latest celebrity couple to adopt a unique name for their baby.

Kidman and Urban have stayed mum on their reason for the name, but Linda Rosenkrantz, co-author of Cool Names for Babies, says Sunday is a good choice because it is pleasant-sounding and represents serenity.

Kidman, 41, and Urban, 40, refrained from choosing “a typical star weird name,” Rosenkrantz says, though she adds that month names are used more often than days.

Say huh? With all due respect to Mrs. Rosenkrantz, “Sunday Rose” is only a “good choice” if your goal is to raise a crystal meth delivery girl. Seriously people, it’s one step above “Chastity,” “Harmony” or “Misty,” and if this girl isn’t dancing on tables by her fifteenth birthday, you can color us shocked beyond words.

Or you can color us the same shade of ghost as Nicole Kidman … which is coincidentally the same color people turn when they are shocked beyond words.

UPDATE - Oh, we almost forgot … for some of the best-wasted time you’ll ever have in your life, be sure to check out Redneck Baby Names, a little gem of a website we discovered while “researching” this article.

I very much doubt that her parents will be shouting Sunday Rose when they want to call out to her. They will probably call her Sunny and I dare say that is not a moniker to be ashamed of. As for Rose, I am sure that Keith’s late grandmother will be honored :).

How very offensive. I would like to know what you think about “Pax” and “Apple”. Actually, I DONT care to know, because I honestly dont care what you think. I am a huge fan of Keith Urban’s and I damn sure dont live in a trailor park. Also, just because somebody lives in a trailor park doesn’t mean they are dumb, too. Why is everybody always criticizing how white people are? If it had been an African-American, GOD FORBID somebody say how dark they are:

I suspect that it will be called sunny or Sun…..
why call a girl son?… did they really desire to have a boy?
I see nothing wrong with the name rose..but together ?
Sunday Rose (Sunday Roast)
And they say that the babies last name is kidman Urban?
because she wanted to keep the kidman name going.. what happens when it marries? why not just call the kid … KIDMAN OR KIDSUN
I wonder how isabella got such a pretty name, and yet the best they could come up with was sunday?
One of Keith’s hit…
RAINING ON SUNDAY!….. maybe that’s how they came up with the name?

Is Keith’s song a hint as to why they named the baby Sunday?

raining on sunday

ticks just like a timex … never lets up on you!
who said life was easy, the job is never through
it runs us till we are ragged
it hardens our heart
and love could use a day of rest before we both start falling apart…

pray that it’s raining on sunday
stormin like crazy

we got better things to do… when it’s raining on sunday

The birth of a long-awaited first child is a blessing and one of the most exciting events in a couples’ lives. Sunday Rose is Keith and Nicole’s choice of name for their child and if they are happy with it, why can’t you be? You do not have to raise this child.

Your comments say much more about you than abut Keith or Nicole. No matter where one lives, it is possible to conduct oneself with some class, something you have obviously failed to grasp.

Meh . .

I’m waiting for them to have another daughter. I’m banking if she’s born on a Wednesday morning they’d name her . . .

. . . drumroll . . .

Tuesdays Gone Kidman Urban.

Apologies to Lynyrd Skynyrd and to Hollywood couples that refrain from dopey names for their kids.

This is such great news. I first met Keith about 11 years ago when he was trying to make it with his trio, The Ranch. So many great things have happened for him since and this long-awaited baby is no doubt the top. Great guy and, you might not know it from his radio-friendly recordings, one of the greatest guitarists on the planet.

#7 . . . “greatest guitarists on the planet”

’scuse me while I die laughing . . .

Try Satriani, Vai, and Malmsteen for greatest guitarists on the planet (today). I’d also suggest checking out G3 Live: Rockin’ in the Free World (which features all three guitarists).

Urban isn’t even in the same league.

My God, what a cruel post. I have a feeling Keith Urban has many more brain cells than you have. SSHM, you many want to check him out. I think you’ll be amazed. Sunday was not named after a song. Do a little research & you’ll find out how the name Sunday came to be. Rose is after Keith’s late grandmother.

What do you people find wrong with the name “Sunday Rose Kidman Urban”?!?! There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that name, I for one adore that name!! Besides, it’s Nicole and Keith’s daughter, not yours!! Her name was NOT inspired by Keith’s song, “Raining On Sunday”!! When you people don’t draw conclusions, and actually get your lazy butts up and research it, you’ll tind out she was named after Sunday Reed ( her 1st name) and Keith’s late grandmother, Rose (her middle name). She has 2 last names to show the equality in Keith and Nicole’s relationship. You people should think about what your sayin before you say it, and stop bashing in their choice of their daughter’s name!! My Goodness!

There is nothing wrong with that name. She will not be dancing on tables or selling meth. Apparently my mother was 29 years ahead of her time because she named me Sunday. I love my name and I am not “trailer trash”. Everyone needs to back off and take a good look at themselves!

This article makes me mad. There is nothing wrong with Keith or Nicole, and their baby name choice is really cute. At least they actually put some thought into it and it wasn’t just some random thing that popped into their mind. I don’t see why anybody would talk about their choice of a baby name, normal people don’t get talked about for naming their kids so what’s the difference with celebrities. They are here to entertain you so why give them crap about little things.
