No comment on Lee Bollman, Chief Instructional Officer at District Five, being FIRED. Trying to sweep this under the rug saying he wants to take another position. What was he fired for? This Board needs to be HONEST/

Wow i’m amazed about how so many good people from the south seem to forget the bible that they read so much in church and preach. Yes what Scott Andersen did was wrong but then again your job is to forgive. I his own son has forgiven him but you guys seem to just love to talk about the wrong he has committed but to me it was just a mistake. I am also sorry for those who still get angered at it because they are the ones who are worse off

How do we go about voting them out? I would love to, but am not too aware of the political process for this. Will they be up for election in up coming November election? I would like nothing more than to get rid of these people.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the Kim Murphy crowd vote the realtors on the school board. Didn’t that group vote out Dr. McMahon and put their superintendent in charge. (Andersen). Didn’t they vote down the 350 million bond, saying they would approve it if it were less. Well their school board has led this district to lower SAT scores and lower state ratings. Their superintendent has embarrassed the district and been fired. Their school board has brought a lesser referendum to the ballot….and the Kim Murphy response….blame the district for decisions made by their school board members, blame the superintendent that they hired, and vote no for a lesser referendum that their school board had proposed. And their solution….take away planning periods from teacher and have them push carts around instead of being in a classroom. If you are wondering why scores are dropping in Lexington School District Five, it is because the Kim Murphy crowd has had a majority on the school board for the past four years.

I agree we need relief at the high schools and middle schools,but this board has refused to split the referendum. They are stubborn and corrupt. I have a problem with closing one elementary school and building another. So I will vote NO. Please let’s elect school board members who will listen to the community, If they had listened we would . still have Dr. McMahon who
was liked by the community but not by the Board. I say let’s get rid of Tom Gantt, Ed White, and certainly Lee Bollman . No new superintendant has a chance against this crew. Also, the year around school talk is just a scare tactic. Vote No. Get school board members who will listen.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I am a student at one of the schools in this district and it is absurd how crowded the school is. We cannot even fight our entire student body into the gym. When we do, it is breaking fire code. There are 28 people in one of my classes, and not one class with less than 20. The school is old, outdated, overcrowded, and desperately needs help. The tax increase is only 14 dollars per year. That is nothing when it comes to education. If 14 dollars is not worth it to help the schools then the community has some serious issues.
