SO THIS IS WHY WE CRASHED TODAY …
FITSNews - June 30, 2008 - We were wondering why we got like 5,000 messages this afternoon telling us that our website was down - well, until we realized it was down. Which explained a lot.
Anyway, contrary to the opinion of some readers, the crash didn’t occur because of a porno overload. Nor was it because any one on our staff was using heroin at the time.
As it turns out, we were featured as one of the top national news stories this afternoon on Google News, which momentarily created a little spike in our traffic.
We apologize to all of you who were inconvenienced … and we promise our geeks are working ’round the clock to keep us up and running. Which reminds us, if you’re ever touring Malaysian sweatshops, be sure to pat ‘em on the back and tell ‘em to keep up the good work.

Now how could that have happened? Certainly not because you are a relevant source of news. Keep inflating your hit count with fake posts, but don’t manipulate Google. They get mad easily.

In completely unrelated news, how come no one’s done an entry on the guy who won the Dem nomination for U.S. Senate? This guy is a gold mine- he claims to be a mixture of Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul, and according to the article he has $961 cash on hand, compared to over $4 million for Graham. sic(k) willie didn’t make national news. He’s learned how to manipulate his site so Google picked him up - once. Google learns fast and is not likely to let him get away with that scam again.

Were you educated in South Carolina’s public schools? You obviously don’t understand the mechanics of news aggregators like Google News.
Not only are the FITS Gals hotter than Sic Willie, but we’re smarter than him too (sorry boss). Google News picks up ALL of FITSNews posts.
