I wouldn't vote for obama no matter what color he was. I WOULD vote for Condoleeza Rice or Colin Powell if they ran because I TRY to vote on policy alone. People who ARE voting for obama simply because of his skin color are akin to those folks who vote for a guy because he's good-looking. And that does happen.

It's amazing to me that we're still debating blackness in our society. In a global population of something like 6.4 billion people, the USA has less than 5% of the earth's inhabitants...

And if the USA is to restore its reputation in the global arena, which is vital to our economic and political wellbeing, I believe Mr. Obama offers the better chance for success.

But, it is not because he is multi-racial. It is not because he is the currently favored Democrat. And it is not because he is the younger face of the politico scene.

Other nations have discovered what captivates many people in our own nation. Obama is not a new voice, but rather a contemporary voice that brings back dignity to the Average Joe(sephine) tired of being trampled over by corporate culture and trickle-down greed.

Getting people to listen is an art. And the world, will at least listen to Obama. Can McCain say the same?

I think the country, and especially this state, is full of people who aren't ready to vote for a black man for president -- or anything else -- and won't ever be. But Obama is the only black politician I've ever come across who I think has a chance of pulling it off. Thanks to 8 years of George Bush for that.

BHO will not have won the nomination until it is all said and done in August in Denver. We refuse to accept the Shortchange Option that the media and the DNC has tried to force upon us.

Obama is green, not black. Though intelligent, he is simply the empty vessel into which the manipulative, self-serving "powers that be" [read: Nancy Pelosi, et. al.] wish to POUR THEIR SCHEMES. The Democratic Party is in schizophrenic meltdown if they are unable to grasp this.

Hillary Clinton is qualified and SHOULD BE the next President of the United States of America.

I don't believe that color is as much a factor in the white community as we're being told it is. I believe in all 3 of the prime cadidates their is little to recommend them. Obuma is a socialist whose never done much with his life except talk and write. His leadership abilities are in question because of issues like" we can't drill our way out". Well no, Buttache, but we can drill to replace the oil that we're now purchasing from the middle east while driving innovative projects to find that most endearing to all liberals hearts, the perfect energy source that will make the flowers grow and birds sing. Don't hear much creative from either candidate. Tired of hearing about Johnny's troubles and what a hero he was 35 years ago. The question is "What has he done lately" to make the voters believe in him and whatever his vision is. So the question remains, is it color or do we smell Bull? My guess is Bull. Obuma's anti-gun, first and second amendment, Chicago anyone? Johnny is anti-1st with a questionable number 2. Lieberman-McCain? I think the public is just plain tired of hearing the same old tired crap and have tuned out, dropped out, and figure their going to get screwed regardless. If you really look at who's supporting Obuma, you'll find the same old cast of blowhards from Hollywood, the African American community at large and the youth of today that have an attention span and discernment to match that of a video game. Hey cool, let me pull my pants down and give ya'll the 4-1-1. Is America ready for a Black President? Only if He or She can convince the electorate that their not the Rev. Jesse, Big Al or Charle. In other words a clean, articulate individual with class and an ability to put a constructive thought together. Not in these two.
