CLINTON LOST BECAUSE THE MEDIA IS SEXIST?

FITSNews – June 18, 2008 – Hillary Clinton should have by now faded into political oblivion, but being a Clinton, her presence lingers long after her loss. Her campaign, and her subsequent failure to secure the Democratic presidential nomination, is now the microcosmic example of a macrocosmic pervasive sexism. At least, so says the National Organization for Women.
NOW has cobbled together a video montage of the alleged sexism demonstrated by the mainstream media during Hillary’s campaign. NOW obviously didn’t try that hard to find appropriate clips, as our own Sic Willie spouts more sexist drivel every day. Seriously, these are some of the most bland, innocuous clips we’ve ever seen. It seems that NOW’s biggest gripe is with the occasional use of the term “bitch” to describe Hillary, to which we defer to radio host Marc Rudov:
“The woman is not called a B-word because she’s assertive and agressive; she’s called a B-word because she acts like one.”
In this age of swirling post-feminism detritus, “sexism” has come to be defined as that which states or implies that men and women are in any way distinct. To avoid being slapped with the “sexist” label, a treacherous plank must be navigated upon which one never deigns to refer to the fact that men and women are different . Yet even science – that field heralded by the same bleeding-hearts who are now throwing a massive pity party for Hillary – can’t deny that men and women are different, as research emerges regarding the disparity between the sexes’ corpus callosum and gray and white matter.
But back to the point, how could the media have been less “sexist” during Hillary’s Campaign?
Or, more accurately, how could the media have avoided groundless accusations of sexism? Since NOW’s own video montage didn’t demonstrate any sexism, the only thing we can figure is that the group dislikes factual references to a person’s biological sex.
We guess women such as those that comprise NOW’s membership would prefer that the media discard the usual pronouns, opting instead for a one-size-fits-all, gender-neutral pronoun. Which would be fine, except that “he” and “she” are sometimes useful in identifying who the hell is being written or talked about.
Along these lines, a one-size-fits-all pronoun would stomp all over grammar rules by doing away with necessary antecedents.
But alas, the butch bunch over at NOW isn’t concerned with perfunctory notions like ease of comprehension or pesky utilitarian pronouns – at least, not as long as there are more pressing matters to discuss, such as the “oppressive male establishment.”
Speaking of oppression, the FITS Gals are quite simply sick and tired of the raging feminist war against guys.
We happen to enjoy and appreciate male chivalry. Sadly, gentlemanly gestures are rare, since men are liable to be smacked, or, at the very least, dismissed as “sexists.”
Just today, one of us walked out of Williams-Sonoma with a heavy, unwieldy package that was well-suited for the longer and stronger arms of a man. Of course, not one male offered assistance on the long trek to the car, and who can blame them? And, you know, just as the feminists promise, women can do it, can carry a huge box – but we shouldn’t have to.
Actually – and here’s the fundamental feminist irony – it should be our choice whether we carry it or whether we daintily hand it over to a man. It’s not our choice, not anymore.
The feminists took that choice away from us, all the while trying to convince us that we were being deprived of choice.
The bottom line is that NOW is way off the mark with this one. The “sexism” refrain has grown tired, having been used too often and usually without merit. Seriously, NOW is so then.
Besides, with its griping about Hillary being called a bitch, NOW is kind of proving the media’s point:
Some women are bitches.

Regardless of what NOW is crying foul on, the most egregiously sexist facet of this historic presidential election lies in John McCain’s manipulation of it.
She hasn’t “lost”, by the way. That will be decided in Denver in August!

I love it when the rich, the privileged and the elite don’t get what they want. Then they cater to the victimization politics they never ascribed to before in an “I’m one of you, let’s get them!” ploy to rally people to their cause.
You wouldn’t be hearing one sylable of sexism accusations out of her mouth if she had ended the primary season as the front runner. She’d blow off all the puny innuendoes and crush anyone who dared insult her with sexist comments, proving how tough she was. And she is tough. She only became “vulnerable” after she…uh…suspended her campaign. This ogre is not done yet. Notice I used the male version “ogre” as not to insult her with the diminutive “ogress”.

Wrong, Kilroy. There would have still been syllable, after syllable, after syllable of accusations — if not from Hillary Clinton, then definitely from casual observers who aren’t afraid to call a spade a spade. Why? Because it is the truth.
She is tough, and she is fair. And she happens to be a she. Other countries have had female CEO’s — why is America so afraid of it?
It is a baseless fear.

America’s not afraid of a female CEO, Hillary has consistently failed to prove that she’s the female to lead our country. Just because she could convince a bunch of elitist fools in New York to sell their state a bill of goods doesn’t make one qualified for the presidency. NOW is a has been organization, not to be taken seriously since they and Hillary sold their program down the drain when Bill was chasing unguarded females and they failed to stand up to the evil empire and screech their disqust at the president being abetted by his lesser half. I’ve always known that the Obamessiah would defeat the Hilldog (ORA) because it was a lose-lose proposition. Side with Obamessiah and be accused of being sexist. Side with Hilldog and be accused of being racist. In our society, both accusations are often used improperly but are used frequently when no other argument can be offered.
Clearly, for those in the Democrat party, being accused of racism is worse than being accused of sexism.

DENVER — Warning to Southern delegates to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver this August: it will be a no-fry zone.
As part of the effort to make the August 25-28 convention the greenest ever, the Democrats’ guidelines for food catering include one that strikes at the heart of Southern cuisine: no fried food.
No fried chicken. No fried catfish. No fried green tomatoes. No fried okra. No fried anything.
In promoting healthy eating habits, the Democratic guidelines say every meal should be nutritious and include “at least three of the following colors: red, green, yellow, purple/blue and white.” “It’s the new patriotism,” says Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, the driving force behind the greening of the Democratic convention.
However, if presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain starts gaining in the polls on Barack Obama, who will accept the Democratic nomination in Denver, the Democrats may find they’ve got bigger fish to fr? – uh, make that – bake.

I’m OK with the No-Fry Menu in Denver. It would be kind of freaky up there, anyway.
It is the “Obama will accept the nomination” thing I can’t stomach. We hope to have Hillary Clinton “accepting the nomination.” By golly – we will invite all of y’uns down to South Carolina for “Fried WHATEVER YOU CAN IMAGINE” after it’s all said and done. We fry our Thanksgiving turkeys down here — so we are experienced in all-things-fried.
