KATHERINE JENERETTE SHOWS IT CAN BE DONE
FITSNews - June 14, 2008 - In addition to looking incredibly hot in a Lynyrd Skynyrd T-Shirt and being unafraid of jumping out of airplanes, former Congressional staffer Katherine Jenerette also knows how to lose a political race while maintaining her dignity … unlike some people we know.
Anyway, Jenerette wrote one of the classiest letters we’ve read in a long time when she conceded her First Congressional primary race to incumbent Henry Brown:
I want to take this opportunity to congratulate U.S. Rep. Henry Brown, Jr. and offer my support to both him and to all the members of the Republican slate of candidates for the November 2008 general elections. With the primary election behind us it is time to ‘bury the hatchet’ and to come together in order to best serve our District and our State of South Carolina in anyway we each can as a party with an agenda for the future.
Personally we think Henry Brown is a dolt and we wouldn’t vote for him if somebody put a gun to our heads, but Katherine’s display of good sportsmanship is commendable, not to mention pretty rare in this day and age. Also rare? “Nice stems” on a political issues page. Seriously, with legs like those we hope Katherine keeps running and running and running … and after nearly knocking off State Sen. Dick Elliott two years ago (with no help whatsoever from the SC Republican Party), we have no doubt that she will.

I question whether the two party system is the best way to go in our country. -Henry has been in Washington voting for budget busting spending bills that have put our country on the financial ropes.
Let’s say a fiscal conservative wanted to run against big spending Henry Brown and then lost to Deficit loving Henry in the primary. What does the loser accomplish then turning around and backing Big Spending Henry ?
Where is the personal integrity in placing party over your own fiscally conservative values?

!. This is Katherine and Van’s 8th loss (combined) for public office. I’m glad they lose with class though, but it should be old by now.
2. She is sometimes with the reserves of the military press core, not real battle, don’t believe “their BS. A lot of slick lies and resume padding here. She had to come home when Daddy(husband Van) got arrested for raping his daughter. (there goes any family values platform)
3. She runs against a fine man who gave both of them jobs in a great time of need for them. Where’s the loyalty? None if you get in the way of their ambition.
4.She nor he will ever win. People who DO know them know there lunitics that don’t live in the same world we do.
Finally, why the rant about them: They think we are to dumb to see how manipulative and calculating they are. They have NEVER helped anybody running for a less than glamourous office. Volunteering to hel a GOP county Council or House candidte is not sexy enough to brag over. If you claim to be a real Republican then get in the trenches and work.
Another Jenerette run for office given their family plight (the indictment and losing their home for not making payments) is seen as crazy and makes them laughinstocks. Go take care of your kids and get your life in order first. tThen run for another loss to lose with class. Sorry, the truth hurts most people. They are oblivious to it.
