FITSNews – June 10, 2008 – Since election days are notoriously quiet for most politicos (in contrast to the months of non-stop campaigning that precede them), we figured this Tom Petty classic was appropriate today.
Even though it was obviously filmed on a cell phone, that’s still Petty (along with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder) up on stage, and the song still kicks a whole lot of ass.
So to all you elected officials, challengers, campaign staffers and political junkies out there, enjoy!

Low turnout means that the voices of dissatisfied party activists will be heard more loudly. I’m calling a bloodbath for incumbents once tonight’s votes are tallied.
Lindsey Graham is going to be embarrassed by Dr. Witherspoon’s 30-40%, and I predict that at lot of RINO representatives from across the Palmetto State are going to be ordering license plate replacements in the near future.

Ceips, Haskins, and Scott are history, and ol’ Buddy Witherspoon managed to pull off 33 big ones against Lindsey Graham despite being outspent by, uh…a few million.
Not a bad night for conservatives in South Carolina.

Buddy got some good mileage on him. Too bad it wasn’t enough. I hope Graham is defeated in the fall. Even if it is by a [gasp!] Democrat.
