“SAVING THE WORST FOR LAST”

FITSNews – June 9, 2008 – It’s hard to imagine any elected official – in any state – quite as contemptible as S.C. Senator Catherine Ceips.

What else can you say about someone who kicked off her reelection campaign by trying to plant an illegal immigrant inside her opponent’s home? And finished it off by slandering someone whom her own consultant (above ) employed during the last election cycle?

The truth is that Ceips’ campaign this spring against former gubernatorial Chief-of-Staff Tom Davis has proven that she’s everything we thought she was – vicious, corrupt, morally-compromised and a stool pigeon for all of the status quo, good ole’ boy forces that hold this state back each year.

In fact, absent an unprecedented special interest bailout (combined with the illegal coordination of third party attacks against her opponent), there’s a good chance that Ceips would be toast right now.

As it stands, though, the failed status quo to which Ceips pledges her undying political allegiance (routinely at the expense of her Beaufort County constituents) may have dumped just enough of its lobbyist-funneled soft money into her campaign to save her from a surprise, ignominious defeat.

Which would be too bad if true, because if there’s one thing we need less of in state government – it’s people like Catherine Ceips, power clingers whose vote is for sale to the highest bidder and whose definition of truth depends on the last lie she told.

Frankly, it’s no wonder dead people are the only ones who’ll claim her.

But as repulsive as Ceips and her political goon squad may be, that’s not our reason for “undorsing” her.

Our reason is this:

Instead of standing up for the taxpayers like real Republicans should, Ceips was busy kissing up to special interests en route to earning the third-worst voting record of any Republican in the General Assembly, according to the S.C. Business and Industry Political Education Committee.

You want to know why Republicans have grown government twice as fast as the national average in the last few years? It’s fiscal liberals like Catherine Ceips who campaign as Reagan Republicans but govern like Roosevelt Democrats … wolves in sheep’s clothing, if you will.

Simply put, Ceips has never met a spending increase she didn’t like, and her election year claim to have supported hundreds of millions of dollars in tax cuts fails to mention two things … the fact that she also voted for hundreds of millions of dollars in tax increases , as well as billions of dollars in new spending on top of that.

But intellectual honesty – or any kind of honesty, for that matter – isn’t something you’re ever going to get out of Ceips.

Like the “Reform Caucus” to which she belongs, everything about Ceips is a political invention designed to mask her true self.

On the other hand, Beaufort County has a chance to elect a true friend of the taxpayer in Tom Davis, who to his credit has run a clean, honest campaign based on legitimate policy disagreements with Ceips.

Sure, Ceips has accused Davis of attacking her, but the worst thing he’s said is that she voted to elect a Democrat to the State Supreme Court … which she did. Or point out that she supports giving workers’ compensation benefits to illegal aliens … which she does.

Our hope is that the voters of Beaufort County will strike a resounding blow against “politics as usual” by ousting Ceips and sending Tom Davis to Columbia on Tuesday … nothing could be more in their best interests, or in the best interests of our state as a whole.

by your high road approach Will. In an admirable show of restraint you didn’t even mention her best known ethical lapse. Newcomers will just have to ask around, I guess. I’d begin with any SCE&G work crews wearing kevlar…

Your “undorsements” are a value-add to this site. Please keep up the good work, Sic.

I’m still sad since Ceips told all of us you had some porn, but I’ll get over it.

Wait a minute- I like Democrats on the Supreme Court and I think illegal immigrant should be covered by worker’s compensation if they’ve been hired by someone who carries it. And I’m a Tom Davis supporter!

“SAVING THE WORST BLOG FOR LAST”

BIN News – June 10, 2008 – Frankly, we don’t believe the rumors that weewillie is responsible for this video only because willie would have done a better job: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVctbzykNdo

But, it’s hard to imagine any blogger – anywhere – as contemptible and morally corrupt as sic(k) will folks.

What else can you say about he who kicked his girlfriend around so bad he was convicted of Criminal Domestic Violence? And finished that debacle off with a guilty plea which removed any doubt. Guilty!

The truth is that weewillie folks is up to his neck with the voucher scam scallywags which includes former gubernatorial Chief-of-Staff Tom Davis and the gub’ner.

sic(k) willie’s posts on this pathetic little blog have proven that he’s everything we thought he was – vicious, corrupt, morally compromised and a stool pigeon for all of the fake front groups sponsored by the voucher scam artists and the gub’ner.

In fact, absent an unprecedented kind word from Mandee, his Mommaa or the mysterious Midlands’ elected officialll sic(k) willie claims has a “strom problem,” there’s a good chance the sic(k) willie’s 15 minutes of fame are about up.

As it stands, though, sic(k) willie, SCRG, The Voice for Voucher Scams and all the other fake front groups he and the gub’ner have created are not fooling anyone.

The failed status quo of political consultant wannabe blogger tripe to which will pledges his undying political allegiance (routinely, at the expense of his credibility) has clearly dumped enough toxic political consultant waste to foul everyone’s opinion of him.

Which is true, because if sic(k) willie can produce anything, it’s toxic political waste. Frankly, it’s no wonder that even dead people won’t admit to talking to him.

But as repulsive as sic(k) willie and his voucher scam squad may be, that’s not our reason for “undorsing” him. Our reason is this: weewill is a just a political mercenary. Political toxic waste!

Crooner……At least you got one out of three right. You just need a little work on the first two.

Learn the facts . . . not giving workers’ compensation to illegal immigrants hurts legal workers. If you give employers a way to hire illegals and not be accountable for their on-the-job injuries, there will be no incentive to hire legal workers, whom they must compensate for their on-the-job injuries.

I guess the new Immigration Bill makes this point moot . . . but it is not as simple as it seems.
