Go Ahead And Break The Law …
… IT’S SOUTH CAROLINA, NOBODY’S GOING TO CARE
FITSNews – June 5, 2008 – Our buds over at the Voice for School Choice have a solid investigative post up today reminding us of how utterly pointless it is to get pissed off over anything anymore in a state as monumentally effed up as South Carolina …
Basically, the “Voice” has caught public school officials red-handed using public time and resources to try and influence the outcome of next week’s State House elections, which is … oh yeah … totally against the law. And while it’s not like violating the law is anything new to these establishment goons, it never ceases to amaze us how they do it time and time again without anybody ever getting so much as a slap on the wrist for it …
Anyway, from the Voice’s article:
Usually, (teacher and administrator unions) take public dollars through dues or fees and funnel the money into politicized labor groups like SCASA and the SCEA.
But Thursday, the desperate apologists for public school failure did not even bother to launder the tax money through unions or political action committees. Instead, they made direct use of public school facilities and district email lists to explicitly lobby for their chosen candidates.
The irony of all this state-sponsored lawbreaking is this – not a single mainstream media outlet in South Carolina is going to cover it (editor’s note: liberal pussies ).
Of course since we here at FITSNews support school choice, we’re automatically viewed as part of some massive out-of-state conspiracy that’s hell-bent on destroying public education – something that gets written about quite a bit by the mainstream media, despite the fact that there’s not a shred of proof to any of the conspiracy theories these ass-clowns are self-perpetuating.
Here’s a news flash, people – public education in South Carolina couldn’t be any more destroyed. It’s just mathematically impossible, and all the money in the world hasn’t done a damn thing to fix it. And attacking us doesn’t do a damn thing to fix it either.
These people broke the law … and it’s past time somebody stood up and called their asses to the carpet over it …
Wait, that would be us!

Well we know the South Carolina Justice Department is behind bars… all by themselves, because the crooks run the state. It will take a federal Justice Department investigation to clean up this state. Oh, wait, we probably can’t trust them either. Breaking the law is more than traffic violations, drugs, assault, rape and murder. I agree that those in politics should be held just as accountable as the poor saps standing before the judge right now. Especially if elected officials are directly involved or publicly funded facilities are being utilized to promote a candidate. Bust their asses and make an example out of them!!!

Will — If you’re suggesting that schools “couldn’t get any worse,” or something to that effect, then you’re simply wrong. Such rhetoric sounds good, but it’s of course not true. I do understand hyperbole as a rhetorical device, though.
I happen to agree with you that public school employees shouldn’t be spending their time telling people how to vote. Entirely inappropriate.
Of course, SCRG lecturing wagging their finger at anyone over election-season ethics is pretty much a farce.
