HOUSE EDUCATION COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN HAS GOT TO GO

FITSNews – June 2, 2008 – You would think that a Republican Education Committee Chairman in a conservative state like South Carolina would be … oh we don’t know … at least somewhat “republican” and maybe even marginally “conservative.”

Unfortunately, as is typically the case in a state dominated by big government RINOs, Rep. Bob Walker is anything but …

The poster hypocrite for all those leftists who claim that giving more money to public schools is “for the children,” Walker has proven again and again that he’s not for the children, he’s for the school administrators and local bureaucrats who continue failing them at historic levels.

Walker wants to eliminate any shred of academic accountability in this state, not to mention subsidize union political activity with your tax dollars. On top of that, he wants to continue pouring billions of dollars into a flawed structure that leaves 200,000 kids trapped in failing and below average schools every year.

Sound even remotely “republican” or “conservative” to you? Of course not. Additionally, Walker is one of the leaders of the so-called “Reform Caucus,” a group of incumbents who seem to think that just saying the word “reform” a few weeks before an election is enough to counter their long and well-documented records of opposing it.

Like his Senate Education Committee counterpart John Courson, Rep. Walker is nothing but a stool pigeon for the Democratic Superintendent of Education Jim Rex.

His committee files whatever bills Rex wants, and then Walker himself goes about the business of making sure enough Republican turncoats vote with the Democratic “minority” when those bills come to the floor.

He’s taken money from every status quo educrat association out there – as well as the company that administers South Carolina’s fatally flawed and incredibly expensive academic assessment tool.  No wonder only 44 cents of every dollar we spend on education actually makes it to the classroom, and no wonder our exorbitant testing budget fails to provide us with real-time information on what South Carolina kids are – and more typically, aren’t – learning.

Walker’s “for the children” rhetoric and his hefty special interest support has kept him in office for more than fifteen years – over which time our state’s academic performance has gone from bad to worse (while our taxpayer investment has gone from generous to obscene).

Bottom line – if you’re really “for the children,” you’ll vote for somebody other than Bob Walker on June 10.

The last thing they need is another fifteen years of his “leadership.”

sic(k) willie,

You are what you eat!

So lay off “pork rinds” and the cheap “Vienna sausages.” For you Northern Americans, “pork rinds” are fried pig skins and “Vienna sausages” are a culinary delight – with plenty of yellow mustard.

Logical readers wonder why sic(k) willie continues to ride the dead horse of the “voucher scam.” Simple. sic(k) willie is only motivated by money. Nothing else. As long as Brazillions of carpet bagger dollars are available, he will have his snout in the trough.

For those Northern Americans reading this, a “trough” is where we Southern Americans put “slop” for the pigs. Vouchers are a scam.

Dollars for the voucher scam are nothing but “slop.”

Stop the Slop!! Watch for out bumper sticker!!

“Stop the Slop – No Vouchers!”

Note to John Courson:

sic(k) willie is about as politically stupid as can be imagined in SC. When you press the stupid out of him, please try to save something that the other squirrels can gather as nuts.
