SLUMPING INDIANS FAIL FARTKNOCKERS
FITSNews - May 31, 2008 - Over the last two years, Cleveland Indians stars Victor Martinez (above ) and Travis Hafner have jointly amassed more than 100 home runs and 400 runs batted in. Combined, they’ve also hit at a .300 clip over that stretch - all reasons why FITS Fartknockers‘ owner Sic Willie selected them in the fifth and seventh rounds of the 2008 Great Santini League draft, respectively.
Yet while FITS’ first round pick Chase Utley is setting the league on fire, Sic’s two Cleveland sluggers have both been colossal disappointments. Hafner - now on the 15-day disabled list - is hitting just .217 with only four home runs, whereas Martinez has gone two months without a home run for the first time since he picked up a bat.
“I don’t understand it,” Sic told a crowd of reporters after benching both players this week. “These were supposed to be two of our go-to guys this year, but at this point they’re playing like a couple of supplemental picks. Both of these guys are really letting down the ball club.”
The Fartknockers - whose epic final-day collapse last season will remain forever seared in the memory of sports fans everywhere - are projected to finish in third place this season. Currently, they are in fourth-place in the legendary ten-team fantasy league.

It could be worse… you could have Mark Teixeira, who you picked up in the first round, and has done practically nothing this season, but atleast he is hitting over 250… now…

Actually we picked Teixeira in the third round … and promptly traded him …

you had a crappy draft didn’t you… Then again, I picked up Teixeira, Fielder, and Hafner, all on one team…

My best team of MLB is The Cleveland Indians . This why I always fallow their games especially whenever I have some time. I’m always trying not o miss any of their game and hear about the team’s news. But The Cleveland Indians tickets get more pricy especially when there are some hot games. But, if we’re really good fans we should try not to be mean when we’re talking about a favourite teams. It’s not only the Indians tickets that got pricy, but there are other major teams too, so the team needs our support and we should provide as much as we can.
