LA SOCIALISTA BUSTS OPEN BIG SCANDAL AT THE STATE HOUSE

FITSNews – May 30, 2008 – Six state lawmakers voted to elect a Clemson University trustee just weeks after they received financial contributions from his company, according to an exclusive report this morning by The State newspaper’s John O’Connor. Several other lawmakers who received contributions from the company of John “Nicky” McCarter either abstained from voting or returned his checks.

From the story:

According to state campaign finance records, most of the checks arrived in early- to mid-April, just days after a screening committee approved McCarter’s candidacy. Monday was the most recent campaign filing deadline, and not all the pre-election reports had been submitted Thursday.

Six checks went to Democrats, while four checks went to Republicans. Sen. Luke Rankin was the only one to receive a check who voted for Williams. Three others, Sen. Randy Scott, Sen. Ralph Anderson and Bauer did not vote.

That means six lawmakers who received donations for McCarter voted for him.

Who are those six lawmakers? According to campaign finance reports, they are Sen. Catherine Ceips (the only Republican who took the bribe) and Democrats Doug Jennings, Herb Kirsh, Yancey McGill, Robert Ford and Creighton Coleman. Senators Randy Scott and Ralph Anderson also took money but abstained, and Lt. Gov. André Bauer did not vote.

Not surprisingly, the lawmakers who took the cash told The State it had “no impact” on their vote.

I hope the 2 guys that had a conscience — and either returned or tore up the checks — don’t get trampled by a stampeding mob of rebrobate pigs before they can do some good for this House of Lunacy.

Bauer cannot vote in these elections, so who cares about that. And I can assure you this story was planted by Chairman “egg tooth” as you say – he has had a bad week, his horse for the Clemson Board seat lost and some vetoes got sustained – I hear that Mr. McCarter, whom I don’t know, simply outworked Mr. Williams, whom I do know. Anonymous sources tell me that while Mr. Williams would hang out and lobby talk with special interest groups, while Mr. McCarter would actually speak to legislators. They said they felt Mr. Williams acted as if he was entitled to the seat b/c of his family and the fact he played there.

He also was set since he is a Democrat. That seems to be the key in getting elected.

Wait for it……..it wont be too long before The State is sending Defender Industries information on how they can help their bad p.r. by advertising in the paper.

McCarter played at Clemson and worked with a company created by a deceased former Clemson football player. But, I was surprised that the whole USC graduate section of the GA did not stand up and mockingly say of Clemson’s former QB, “Rooooddddnnnnneeeeey”!

I also heard same the same info as Seeking Truth.

Hey Will, why don’t you just write about what a dummy your former boss is-Leadership.LOL

Sanford-Sparky Woods coaching method used. That Sanford leadership spin is definitely the political ruse of the decade.

Two more years of no coach.

What The State forgot to mention is that Nicky McCarter, a close friend of my family, has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Clemson. He is an IPTAY Booster Club donor at the highest level and beyond, even giving a very substantial donation to the West End Zone fund, which can be seen on the Clemson Athletics site, where they provide a list of donors. On top of that, he is on two other Clemson boards, including the Board of Visitors. If you look at political campaign donation sites, you can see that he has been writing checks to legislators since 1995.

WOW……don’t we have better things to consider within the governmental process? If you knew Nicky, you would know a kind and gentle person, a family man and someone who is always in Clemson’s corner. While I am not a Clemson person……I know him well and know this is merely sour grapes! Get over it and get on with things like fixing education. Now there’s a good one. There’s as many scandals within that division of goverment than you could ever cover in a reporters lifetime. Guess it’s more important to go after successful folks rather than the habitually unsuccessful jerks.
