Ethics Complaint To Be Filed In State House Race
SHEALY’S ABUSE OF PUBLIC E-MAILS REPORTEDLY AT ISSUE
FITSNews – May 28, 2008 – A formal ethics complaint will be filed against political consultant Rod Shealy, Jr. tomorrow morning over his improper use of public e-mails for overtly campaign purposes, the latest fallout from a story which broke exclusively here on FITSNews a little over a month ago.
Sources tell FITSNews that the complaint will focus on a blast e-mail Shealy sent to public school teachers on behalf of David Herndon, who is running for House District 87.
Shealy, Jr. is the second son of veteran consultant Rod Shealy, Sr., to run afoul of state ethics laws in recent months, although it is unknown at this point whether or not Ross Shealy’s improper lobbying violations have prompted similar complaints. Obviously, both boys are following in the wily ways of their father, who already has an election fraud conviction on his record.
Little is ever publicly reported about ethics complaints given the gag orders invariably placed on them by the State Ethics Commission. In fact, we’re not entirely sure we were supposed to get this information, but we’re publishing it anyway because we flat don’t give a rip.

It’s too bad there’s absolutely no truth to the story that Rod Jr. did anything wrong. Then you might actually have something, instead of continuing to be the PR operation for a massively failing effort.

Yes, whomever files it needs to release to the media right after doing so. Now, then, you get your dream of a real first amendment issue.
You might want to look at a prior complaint resolved from I believe the 1990 primary of some office-I forget.
It would be a real Hummer to pull that off and I would definitely be impressed at your efforts to make government transparent.
Now, that would take a man of spine. Screw the duck shots with the Scott tapes. You talk about your “dream team” lawyers, let’s see how they play this one.
Mine would tear it apart, but he is AV rated and was a prosecutor for 12 years and never lost one trial. He has also kicked more GOP ass than anyone I know. In fact, he is in my opinion one of the best trial lawyers and the top political operative in the state. And, no, he would not take you as a client.
You Republicans sure get the “B” team for lawyers. Name one great lawyer that is a Republican in SC and is a real trial lawyer. That is the major advantage the Dems have-better firepower.
At the end of the day, he whom has the best trial lawyer, not an egghead technician is the one that gets the best verdict.
I can name at least 6 in Columbia that have no GOP equal. Harpootlian, Leventis,McCulloch, Lewis,McCutchen, Swerling. That is just a few. I can name many more.
Quid pro quo those with your dream team of GOP lawyers.
I eagerly await the action(disclosure after the filed complaint) and the response to the Democrat dream team with your GOP dream team.

PS: And Smith, Ellis and Stuckey for sure on the Dem side.

We note that no black shrimpers from McCelllanville were harmed by Rod in the current (shocking) escapades…
