$126 Million?
THAT’S A LOT OF METAMUCIL, PEOPLE
FITSNews – May 25, 2008 – The new Indiana Jones movie we’ve been so excited about finally opened on Thursday, and apparently everybody with a pulse went to see it because it’s already raked in $126 million – putting it on track to become the second biggest Memorial Day Weekend debut ever.
Analysts say Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will earn $151 million on its five-day holiday opening, putting it just behind Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End , which took in $153 million over the same stretch last year.
So now that we all know everybody’s seen it … is Skull any good? Well, we sent our new movie critic DJ Slick to check it out. And with all apologies to one of our banner advertisers, his initial take wasn’t that good:
“… it’s disappointing. It’s like undressing Jessica Alba to find Cheryl Tiegs underneath … “
Hopefully we’ll have DJ Slick’s full review for you soon, but in the meantime Skull is doing alright with a 79% fresh rating over at Rotten Tomatoes.

Just back from the latest Indy installment and I am happy to report that the Mrs and I enjoyed the outing. None of the sequels has captured the full intensity of the original, but that’s ok by us. There was enough new energy interwoven with old familiar themes to have us leaving with warm feelings of a visit from an old friend.
Skull had hits and misses to service both fans and complainers, just like the last two. This is Indiana Jones we’re talking about, not Citizen Kane.

If I undressed Jessica Alba and found Cheryl Tiegs underneath I would be happy.

That movie sucked balls. Don’t go see it unless you are 12 years old. garbage.

I loved number one and two and this movie was impressively bad in my opinion – I really think you couldn’t have spoofed it because it was like a spoof of itself. It really gave you the feeling like you were at Universal on a sound stage most of the time.
This was to the first three was Rocky V was to the first four Rockies if that is any indication.
