McCain’s Energy Plan Raises Concerns

NOT NECESSARILY FROM SUPPORTER HEIDI MONTAG, THOUGH

FITSNews – May 23, 2008 – As much as we’d love to interview Heidi Montag to determine how presidential candidate John McCain’s support of a flawed “cap-and-trade” energy policy affects her endorsement of the Arizona Senator in this November’s election, we’re thinking “not so much.”

Even if we did get the interview, she would probably just giggle a lot and shake her boobs in our face.

Sure, there’s a chance Montag would highlight the inherent price volatility and potential supply shock associated with the plan’s artificial imposition of geopolitically non-binding regulations on domestic energy production, to say nothing of the potential trillion-dollar curtailment of GDP growth and the resulting spike in unemployment – particularly manufacturing unemployment - associated with meeting initial Kyoto Protocol greenhouse gas reduction targets … but probably not.

Anyway, we’re in the process of collecting several really smart people’s thoughts on McCain’s plan (which also happens to be Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s plan ), and although we’re convinced it sucks major donkey balls (literally ), we’re going to be presenting multiple perspectives … although probably not Heidi’s.
