GIVING “EAT SHIT” LOOKS ONLY AGES YOUR FACE
FITSNews - May 20, 2008 - Our founding editor Sic Willie is used to getting “eat shit” looks from people all the time. Sure, most of them come from hearts he’s broken in the past, but sometimes people take legitimate umbrage at the stuff we publish.
Like Ashley Manini (above ), a lobbyist for the SC Medical Association who we never knew existed before today, but who pretty much spent her entire lunch hour shooting Sic some of the nastiest “eat shit” looks he’s ever received.
Apparently, Manini is pissed off at us because we exposed the soft money slush fund that’s run by the Senate Republican Caucus, an organization which happens to employ her sister - Lisa Manini Sox - as its executive director.
Well, if that article pissed you off Ashley, you’re going to love this …
According to State Ethics Commission filings, it turns out the SC Medical Association is the single largest contributor to the Senate slush fund over the most recent reporting period - donating a $10,000 chunk of change to the Caucus’ “operating account,” which is in turn dumping tens of thousands of dollars into the reelection efforts of vulnerable Senators like Catherine Ceips and Jim Ritchie.
Not surprisingly, the SCMA has been pushing hard for a cigarette tax increase, which (surprise) the Senate passed for them earlier this month.
We’ll be doing an update on the Caucus’ other special interest donors soon - and the unprecedented dollars they’re dumping into one race at the expense of all the others - but in the meantime we think the moral of this story is that it’s probably never a good idea to give Sic multiple “eat shit” looks.
You never know how soon it’ll be until you have to eat it …
Besides, smiling uses fewer muscles and keeps your face looking young and vibrant!

What is a Treo?
New to this politico stuff — and learning it here — and that is a dangerous combination.
A Treo is a smart phone with a camera. Hotline has suggested that the lobbyist in question is, um… less than attractive.
Oh. Big difference from self-translated “tree-hugger.”
She looks like a lady with more class than sic(k) willie can understand, and like a lady who could and would kick sic(k) willie’s @ss in a New York minute if he ever tried any rough stuff she didn’t appreciate.
A woman like that might be the best thing that ever happened to him.

maybe she can now go work for John McCain( or maybe she already is) - I think he employs more lobbyists than anyone .
She’s not a lobbyist, she’s in charge of the SC Medical Assocation PAC.
