State House Challengers To Launch Agenda
CANDIDATES TO RALLY AROUND A “COMMON SENSE CONTRACT FOR CHANGE”
FITSNews – May 19, 2008 – Over a dozen State House challengers are reportedly gathering in Columbia this afternoon to unveil a “Common Sense Contract for Change,” sources tell FITSNews.
We’ve heard rumors of several “Contract-themed” events over the last few weeks, although no details have been forthcoming. We do know that the group will likely do battle with the so-called “Reform Caucus” that sprang up earlier this year as an effort to portray incumbents as “real reformers.”

I just don’t understand why these challengers don’t just start a new political party – call themselves the New Republicans or resurect a cool name like the Whig party.
After all, the primary for many of these seats will essentially be the general election because democrats can’t muster plausible candidates for November.
