Our Stupid Laws Aren’t Working
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PASS “REFORM IN NAME ONLY”
FITSNews - May 9, 2008 - Three years ago, S.C. Governor Mark Sanford signed into law a new tort reform bill, an event we remember distinctly because the dumbass forget to bring his trademark blazer to the bill signing ceremony and had to borrow Sic Willie’s. Anyway, everybody bragged about passing the bill, everybody had their picture taken with it, everybody talked about how it was going to make South Carolina so much more competitive and all that other blah-blah “soil conditions” crap.
Well guess what … it didn’t do any of that. In fact, according to the latest U.S Chamber of Commerce report, South Carolina’s legal climate actually went from 37th in the nation to 43rd in the nation, which the last time we checked was the wrong direction.
The moral of this story? Yeah, it’s pretty simple.
Call House LCI Chairman Harry Cato and tell him to grow some balls for a change. Tell him to stop gutting good laws and start passing stuff out of his damn committee that will actually get the job done instead of bending over to kiss the Ambulance Chaser Association’s ass every chance he gets.
And while you’re at it, ask him how he gets his hair to stay so tantalizingly motionless … seriously, is it maple syrup?

wrong direction? … isn’t going from 37th WORST to 43rd WORST the right direction… or did you mean 37th BEST etc.?

Sic has a hard on for Cato. Word is he did the poll that ruined it for Dill. That is what this is all about. Sic is just projecting his homoerotic lust for Harry.

Yeah, whatever, I looked at that “US Chamber of Commerce” (an insurance company lobbying group) report - nowhere can you find out how they come up with their numbers. This is weak.
