Molding Young Minds … Again
SIC WOWS THE WILKINS SCHOLARS
FITSNews – May 7, 2008 – We’re gonna go out on a limb and guess that U.S. Ambassador to Canada David H. Wilkins blew a gasket when he learned that our own Sic Willie (a frequent Wilkins’ critic ) spoke this afternoon to Furman University’s “David Wilkins Fellows,” a group of politically-minded college students who are spending some time in Columbia learning the legislative ropes.
Sic arrived at the event wearing his throwback Cal Ripken, Jr. jersey and a Hooters’ hat (editor’s note: classy ) and proceeded to illustrate how lobbyists destroy meaningful reforms from the inside out (using a turkey sandwich prop) as well as from the outside in (using a chicken nugget prop). Yeah … better not ask.
He also drew some pretty funny pictures of Gov. Mark Sanford, Rep. Harry Cato and Rep. Bob Walker on the whiteboard, and explained Leadership PACs to the students in a manner that Bobby Harrell would have no doubt found highly offensive.
Anyway, props to the “Wilkins Fellows” for having FITS over, and come to think of it, props to Wilkins himself. We’ve been pretty hard on the guy in the past, but in retrospect (unlike Harrell) he at least tried to act like a Republican every once in awhile …

Broke Back willie sure looks comfortable sitting on that cannon. Hope he is just as comfortable when a certain Midlands Elected Official sticks one just like it up his arse. And no lube. It is just a matter of time.
