SCOTT THREATENS OFFICERS’ JOBS, SAYS “Y’ALL SET MY ASS UP”
FITSNews – April 22, 2008 – A belligerent State Sen. Randy Scott accused his arresting officers of participating in a political set-up and at one point threatens to have one of them fired, videotapes from the Senator’s DUI arrest show.
“Y’all set my ass up good,” Scott says in one of the videos, prior to informing one officer that he would be fired once a new Dorchester County Sheriff is elected.
“That’s fine, sir,” the officer replies to Scott. “I’ll do the same job for him.”
“You won’t do it here,” Scott snaps back. “You won’t do it in Dorchester County.”

I was thinking the same thing, when he was read his miranda he was told you have the right to have a lawyer present, he asked and was denied…what gives?

After seeing the video, I have to say that this is bullshit. I don’t agree with Sen. Scott much politically, but by these cops were shady as hell, obviously had been educated in our supremely shitty public schools because the one seemed like he could barely read, and they also seemed like they were just repeating what they had been told to say. The charge should be dismissed, and I hope the people of his district will not hold this against him as he runs for re-election.

I don’t understand all of this.
He was told he could have a lwayer, but then was not allowed one until AFTER the need for one passed.
He did not seem all that mad to me…I would have been madder.
I don’t think he was set up…I think he just found himself in the criminal justice system…which treats everyperson like crap.
He did not sem drunk to me…just a crabby old man.

I have to say – having watched both videos – that a) he did not seem that obnoxious and b) drunk. I am not a Republican or a friend of this rep., but this looks like a mountain out of a molehill

With that bum leg and those dumb ass cops ignoring his request for an attorney ON CAMERA, he is definitely walking for this one. Making a veteran with one leg walk heel-toe on camera is despicable, or at least 1 in 12 will think so.

Sen Scott need not worry – he’s a state senator and has Jean Toal in desperate need of help in the legislature. One call – that’s all he has to do to get Toalite justice….. Judges in Sen. Scott’s jurisdiction be sure to take Queen Jean’s call, now, ya hear?

I think it is interesting that only on FITS did the report come that he was with a female companion that was not his wife…. Seems like someone else maybe trying to sent the Senator up too…..
