FITSNews Exclusive – Sanford Endorsing Shealy
NOT-SO-SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW MORNING
FITSNews – April 22, 2008 – S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford will endorse longtime Republican activist and former Lexington GOP chairwoman Katrina Shealy tomorrow morning, sources tell FITSNews.
Shealy is running for the State Senate seat currently held by Jake Knotts, who has butted heads with South Carolina’s eclectic governor on numerous occasions in the past.
No word yet on Knotts’ reaction to the news, but if it involves a duel, arm-wrestling or an old-fashioned stare-off, Sanford is in deep trouble.
UPDATE – Apparently, Sanford is helping raise money for Shealy as well, according to a post this morning by The Palmetto Scoop.

Willie, this would be a good place for you to utilize that geeky computer savvy — and implant a video. Like, say — a raucous rendition of the Scorpions’
“Rock You Like a Hurricane”

The Lexington County GOP sent out an email from its offical account, asking people to attend the Sanford fundraiser.
That seemed odd to me.

Erin, are you a lawyer?

No, I am but a poor republican wondering where my party went.
There was a time when the GOP instilled loyality in their ranks. Now that fight for the right to rape the taxpayer.
Even the ones that vote with Sanford don’t fight for us…what is a veto vote when you are being beaten 3 to 1. Wasted.
The work is done before the bill is ever voted on…and Sanford and his boys are to damn lazy to fight then, so they lose later.
This is so odd. Where did the party of small government go?

Erin–it was replaced by “the party of small minds.”

There’s that “loyalty” word again. It comes up often in the mafioso-style lingo of Knotts & Thugs, Inc. Katrina Shealy will be a godsend for Lexington County and the people of South Carolina. Trust me!
