SC Educrats Walking Into Spiderwebs
SPINNING, SPINNING & MORE SPINNING … BUT WHEN WILL THEY START DOING THEIR JOBS?
FITSNews - April 16, 2008 - Let’s face it, the S.C. Ministry of Failure and Non-Competition already has a lifetime achievement award when it comes to spinning lies to the people of South Carolina.
In fact, only a state as dumb as this one would keep pouring billions of dollars into a system that consistently produces such tragically abysmal results.
This week’s “web-spinning” from the Ministry is particularly offensive, however, because it attempts to hide the growing calamity our state’s “one size fits all” public education system is creating for poor and minority students.
Known as the “achievement gap,” it’s getting worse … much worse … in South Carolina, but you wouldn’t know that from the Ministry’s misdirection efforts …
According to educrat officialdom, 141 elementary and middle schools in South Carolina were honored for “reducing the achievement gap” last year, which on the surface sounds like a reason to stop what we’re doing and celebrate.
The only problem? Those 141 schools represent just 16% of the schools which were examined … and they only improved in one type of test, for one type of “historically-underachieving” student.
The Ministry neglects to tell us the findings of the full report, namely that “achievement gaps increased,” and that those increases reflect “the general lack of progress” being made by our public schools.
Amazingly, African-American legislators continue to endorse the failed policies of the past by marching in lockstep with the educrats, even as their children are failing at a faster rate than ever before …

sic(k) willie’s solution to education issues is give tax breaks to those who can take advantage (rich people) and let the rest fend for themselves.
