COMEBACK KID HAS FARTKNOCKERS IN FIRST PLACE
FITSNews - April 16, 2008 - Last year it was Fausto Carmona coming out of nowhere to help power the FITS Fartknockers to their first ever Great Santini League Championship appearance. This year, 24-year old Zach Greinke is beginning to emerge as Sic’s surprise fantasy stud.
In three starts, the big right-hander is 3-0 with a 0.75 ERA. Not bad for a guy selected in the next-to-last round of the 2008 Santini Draft.
Of course Greinke remains a risk, as he missed most of the 2006 season due to a severe case of “social anxiety disorder” … no kidding. He also went a gaudy 5-17 in 2005 with a 5.80 ERA, which for those of you unfamiliar with baseball is ridiculously sh*tty.
Fartknockers’ owner Sic Willie said he took Greinke with the next-to-last pick of the draft because “I understand how painful social anxiety disorder can be. I suffer from it myself.”
