FITSNews – April 15, 2008 – Seriously, is she or isn’t she?

The conflicting reports about Ashlee Simpson’s rumored pregnancy have reached such a crescendo that we’re wondering whether or not we should hop a flight out to Hollywood so we can take a peek inside the pop star’s uterus. Anyway, here’s the “yes” story:

Ashlee Simpson is pregnant with fiancee Pete Wentz’s baby, according to a source. The Fall Out Boy bassist denied the pregnancy to MTV yesterday, but our source claims Simpson, due in October, is planning a wedding in Santa Barbara in hopes of being hitched by late May, before she starts showing.

And here’s the “No” story:

Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy bassist) denies his 23-year-old fiancee Ashlee Simpson is pregnant … Wentz, 28, told MTV News in an email that: “There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood.”

We know all about “witch hunts,” Pete. In fact, rumors are swirling around Columbia that our own Sic Willie’s recent engagement was an elaborate plot to make sure he was married this summer before he also started “showing.”
